3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tasted on 8/9/12 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased at Turnip Truck in the Gulch. Pours clear, deep auburn with a very thick, rocky beige head that slowly recedes to rocky lace. The nose is nutty brown malt with a touch of milk chocolate, toffee, and tons of toasted coconut. The flavor is about the same with the toasted coconut and almond, milk chocolate, toffee, and even more coconut with a bit of a bitter back end. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long toasted, nutty coconut and lightly bitter finish.
Aroma: roasted dark malts, caramel, coconut.
Appearance: amber color and creamy head.
Taste: medium herbal bitterness, roasted dark malts, butterscotch, coconut, dry.
Palate: low body and high carbonation.
Overall: decent amber ale, coconut plays the second role. raymow (1732) - Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 18, 2017

(bottle, 35.5cl) Clear, ruby brown colour with a beige and short foamy head. Slightly toasted and delicately buttery malty aroma with notes of coconut, honey and a whiff of alcohol. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Delicately toast-malty taste with notes of coconut oil, butter with a subtle spicy hoppy touch; moderately sweet and delicately bitter finish with lasting notes of coconut in the aftertaste. Uncommon but pleasant. 06.VI.17

Pours clear dark nutmeg brown with a medium beige head, moderate retention. Aromas of toast, caramel, coconut, and biscuit. Medium light body, velvety, decent carbonation. Mildly sweet, mildly bitter finish with a sense of lingering toasted coconut. Darker and more interesting that many browns. axl (1035) - Lund, SWEDEN - MAR 10, 2017
Clear slightly redish hued brown with gray-white head. Aroma is sweet roasted coconut, light caramel and brown bread. Taste is initially sweet with rich roasted coconut but then ends abruptly in a dry and astringent short bitterness. Medium mouthfeel, light carbonation and short dry aftertaste.
