Poured from tap to glass at the Kailua brewery. Crystal clear red hue with creamy off white head. Aroma is malty, rye?, pepper, cocoa, melon. Everything is just so weak...save appearance. No surprise wirh Kona offerings. This definitely needs to accompany food.

Meh. Lightly sweet, malty aroma and flavors. Okay beer. Smooth. Mildly bitter. Not a great brew at all but not terrible either.

3.3
neuromatt (1226) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 14, 2013
On tap at the Fairmont Orchid in Hawaii, served in a shaker. Pours clear reddish-amber with a moderate off-white head that remains and leaves a small amount of fine lace. The nose has medium herbal hops with grass, caramel toffee and a hint of pine. The flavour is balanced between medium herbal hop bitterness and toffee and grainy notes from the malts. The finish is medium-long and somewhat hoppy and spicy. On the palate it is medium in body with a dryish texture and average carbonation. Overall, this is a nice hoppy red ale with decent balance and nice malty notes. 2013-08-17
