Bottle. Clear pale golden colour with a medium foamy white head, nose is grassy and grainy with some tart notes, taste is also sweet and grainy with a medium dry finish and a bit watery palate. Rex_Remes (284) - Bonyhad, HUNGARY - JAN 7, 2018
(12oz bottle) AROMA: soft malt, light dough/biscuit, touch of dairy/cheese APPEARANCE: straw yellow, touch of haze, thin head, bit oily appearance, minimal visible carbonation TASTE: light/medium malt, some sweet corn bit also some scratchy grain, toasted rye, ok hops for a lager PALATE: medium/light body, good balance, not too astringent, nice smoothness and creaminess OVERALL: a very good pale lager, a little flat looking and not overly complex, but respectable nose and nice balanced grainy and hop flavor. The aroma was almost non existent, maybe some faint stale gym sock. The appearance is a clear pale gold with a thin white head. Taste was a bit on the bland side as well with nothing to write home about. Easy to drink, but again an overall disappointment. danjs5 (357) - AUSTRALIA - JAN 3, 2018
Best lager tasted for a while. Appearance light and bright in glass with plenty of carbonation. Light hop malt and yeast profile. Crisp smooth mild and very easy to drink.

Longboard Island Lager is a smooth refreshing lager fermented and aged for weeks at cold temperatures to yield its exceptionally smooth flavor. A delicate, slightly spicy hop aroma complements the malty body of this beer. motthes (210) - GERMANY - DEC 15, 2017
Das Kona Longboard Island Lager aus Hawaii, USA. Sehr schicke Flaschenforn, Etikett vermittelt Urlaubsfeeling. Pintare (4) - Rome, ITALY - DEC 14, 2017 does not count

355ml can (4.6%) shared with Stuartyboy at home on 2 Dec 2017, from M & S Simply Food, Glasgow Central Station (bb 11 Jul 2018): pale malty, grain aroma, pale golden with a very thin short-lived head, pale malty, grain flavour, gentle fizz. FoamHead (32) - - DEC 2, 2017
This is a beer to have very, very cold. It goes down smooth and is refreshing. But, as it warms up in the glass, there is a faint unpleasant funky aroma. The taste is still okay, but the nose gets worse as the temperature rises. For that reason I rate it fairly low. However, if you are going to chug it while it is freezing cold, it is EXCELLENT.
