Longboard Island Lager is a smooth refreshing lager fermented and aged for weeks at cold temperatures to yield its exceptionally smooth flavor. A delicate, slightly spicy hop aroma complements the malty body of this beer.

Panzuriel's rating

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 8/20

Longboard pours a clear pale yellow. Any head that existed has quickly disappeared. Nose is faint, just a touch of malt and hops. Somewhat watery. Flavor is intially a bit sweet with some crisp hops and sharp other flavors that are less appreciated. Body is thin and fairly still. Finish is pretty plain. Pretty blah beer, sadly.

Bottle into goblet. Unremarkable in most ways. Mild bitterness with some biscuit notes. Ok but nothing to return to. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 bottle poured into a pint glass. This beer somehow found its way into my house. It looks good in the glass, but taste is disappointing. Not a big lager fan. This is not a beer to seek out and buy in my opinion.

UPDATED: OCT 28, 2017 One of the nicer lagers I have had. Slightly hazy. Sweet malt aroma and taste, but not sickly or artificial sweet. Easy summer day drinking.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2017 Bottiglia da 0,33. Schiuma contenutissima e volatile. Colore paglierino chiarissimo. Carbonatura adeguata. Aroma di banana, ananas e vaniglia. Gusto leggero e fresco. Consiglio 5/10.

If only the beer tasted as good as it looks. It's an OK lager but not what I was expecting.

Can from Marks & Spencer, Team Valley, Gateshead and Bottle of "Longboard Lager" drank in 2003 from Hawaii. Pale straw coloured with no head. It has a gentle toffee and grassy flavour followed by malt and fruit on the smooth finish. Just ok.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2017 Mindre bitter end som ofte. Helt fin lager, der sikkert er passende til dage med surf.

You can find easily this bottle in the coop supeemarket in Switzerland. I drank it yesterday at home, after to come back from Lutry, during this lovelay day of yesterday. It is a regular lager, nothing sexy, I don't expect to smell thousands aromas of hop. It is a easy lager, malty, a bit watery, mineral, some hop, it gives you a perfect refreshing sensation, like the picture making quietly the surf and enjoying this bottle at the beach.
