Deep blond color; medium sized head. There is a reasonable aroma of malt. The mouthfeel is dry in the front, a bit sweeter later, with light malt flavor and correct bitterness. Although simple, it doesn’t have the flaws or bad corn flavors of many other Lagers.

Oops! I think Kona fell off their longboard. This is a below average brew. The nose was light with no presence of any note. The taste was fizzy (Kona calls it "crisp") to start and then dissipated into a mix of freshness and weakness with weakness winning the day. Kona calls it "a smooth ride in". It is more like skateboarding in a totally flat parking lot - boring.

Found this for the first time at the local this week, thought I’d give it a try. It came in a mixed 6 pack with 3 different brews. Pours a crystal clear pale golden color with a smallish white head that dissipates to a cap. Smells of grain and sweet fruits like green apples with a hint of skunk. Taste is sweet and grainy with a hint of hops in the finish. Moderate carbonation, medium body, sticky/watery mouthfeel. Not a bad brew, but nothing remarkable either. I could see downing a few of these on a warm day, would be very sessionable.

Shrews629 (193) - Kentucky, USA - MAR 23, 2011
Somewhat hazy yellow, pineapple juice color. A bright white head that was small and didn’t have much retention or leave much lacing. A fresh smelling aroma of some grain and wheat. It smelled a bit citrusy, like lemon. Some spices floating around in there. Some medium ranges of malt. The breadiness and wheat comes through more as it warms. The flavor provided more of the wheat beer characteristics. The spices and the lemony citrus. The wheat is prevelant, but the grassy/grain flavors are a little more laid back. Some pepper comes through. Mild to low amounts of bitterness. The malt helps to keep it proportioned. Medium to light mouthfeel. Very crisp and refreshing and thirst quenching. Smooth and slightly watery. A little taste is left on the palate and on into the finish. This brew definitely could be enjoyed while basking in the sun. Very easy to drink. A person could definitely pound a few of these with ease. Nothing fancy however. Rather straight forward.
