Longboard Island Lager is a smooth refreshing lager fermented and aged for weeks at cold temperatures to yield its exceptionally smooth flavor. A delicate, slightly spicy hop aroma complements the malty body of this beer.

Not impressive. Thin body. Light on the mouthfeel or palate. Light flavor and color

Bottle courtesy of schmoopsbeer. Served in a Mikasa pilsner glass. Pours a bright yellow color. Weirdly bright. Good white head with a bit of lacing on the way down. The nose carries a light amount of grain and some very faint hops. The flavor has mild grain and doesn’t have much bready malt, as I’ve come to expect. It’s more the body of a pilsner without the hops. Light body and good carbonation. Pretty good, though nothing too special. Serving type: bottle

Clear lemony yellow color with light yeast aromas. The palate is light bodied and refreshing but remains very one note.

CIdery aroma. Not the best first impression of a lager beer. Sparkly mouthfeel with little body, non-existant malt flavor, bittering is kept at a near minimum. Again though, the cidery impression dominates with no hop character. Maybe they should age it for 10 weeks instead of 5?

Bottle - light, pale color, fair head, very basic lager, fair taste, refreshing on this hot Florida day

bochi23 (116) - Virginia, USA - JUL 21, 2011
This was a good beer. Sure, it wasn’t much to look at, golden yellow, head gone in an instant, clear as water and the aroma was weak and faint. But it had good flavor. I can definitely see myself drinking some of these on a hot day.

Pours light and blond with a thick and rich foamy head. The taste is smooth and light; almost watered down even. Should be an excellant beer with a large dinner because of the light taste that wont fill you up. Not my type of beer; I perfer a more tasteful beer with a punch...but respectable non the less.

RedSox2004 (2000) - Pacific Palisades, California, USA - JUL 8, 2011
Clear straw yellow with a small bright white head that dissipated quickly. Subtle sugar aromas reminiscent of graham crackers, with a touch of lemony citrus. Sweetish bready malt flavor accompanied by grassy hops. Light body, high carbonation, and a clean finish.

wilnatp (719) - Minnesota, USA - JUN 28, 2011
Tap. Pour is hazy deep yellow with a small white head. Aroma of mild hops and light fruits, and spices. Flavor is weak hops with light malts and a bit bitter finish. Light body. Good for a lager.

iride15 (238) - Rockledge, Florida, Florida, USA - JUN 19, 2011
Bottle poured a hazy deep yellow with a small white head. Mild hop aroma with fruits, light malts, and spices. Light malt and weak hop flavor. Palate starts sweet and finishes bitter through each sip. Crisp and light, but misses the point. No flaws like other light lagers.
