Perfectly dark, the head was off-white going on gray, somewhat fleeting.
Freshly roasted beans, exactly what I like (and expected). Even if I dont like coffee per se I still enjoy that good coffee house smell.
Lightly carbonated, the coffee flavors are there but do not overpower. The only slight downside is the perceptable ashy finish. Very low on the hop side, but theres nothing wrong with that. Went really well with a vanilla washed cheese I had.

A very rich porter - usually I find them somewhat thin, but this one had enough body to almost describe it as chewy. Lots of coffee in the aroma, flavor, and finish. Dark roasting creates a very smoky and rich flavor. Little hop tone, very dark in color.

Clear dark brown with a tight tan head. Nice coffee and roasted malt aroma. Smooth and easy drinking. Rich, hearty flavors of mocha latte with dark roasted malts. Perfect balance of coffee and porter flavors here.

Pipeline Porter has a deep brown color, with very little head retention. I couldnt get much out of the aroma, which was very dissapointing because I was hoping at least for a thick coffee smell, but nothing. The beer tasted great though, a subtle roast flavor that combined with a coffee flavor that was a little to subtle for my tastes. I also tasted some lactic sourness in the background, not unpleasant though. I would have liked more flavor out of this beer, but perhaps its beauty lies in its subtlety, which also makes it easier to drink.

Pours a dark brown color with a brown head. Aroma is nutty, toasty, roast, coffee, and some spicy hops. Flavor is malty, roast, nutty, coffee, and a bitter spicy finish.

Draft at the brewpub in Honolulu. Dark brown in color with a thin head that faded quickly. The nose immediately showed Kona coffee along with a dark chocolate bitterness. The palate also showed off the coffee and chocolate but was a bit thin. I was hoping for balance and richness in the midpalate.

12 oz bottle thanks to my SS. My first Hawaiian beer! Pours a dark red brown almost black with a thin beige head that disappears quickly. Roasted malts and chocolate in the nose. Sweet with some nuts and touch of grain. With substantial swirling a coffee bean or two is barely detectable. Carbonation is minimal. Nearly flat. Creamy roasted/chocolate/coffee flavors that meld together. Finishes with a slight spice. Ok beer. It would do better with more carbonation.

I thankfully have two 12 oz. bottles to enjoy thanks to trades with both hellbilly and SoLan. Pours a dark brown with a moderate tan head that lasted until about mid-glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of coffee and lightly roasted malt. The flavor is similar with coffee and lightly roasted malt both in equal proportion and both somewhat restrained. Strongly carbonated resulting in a fizzy mouthfeel. Much milder than a coffee stout, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Fizzy brown, watery look. Some lace. Mild coffee aroma. Decent creamy body with smooth coffee throughout. Thin but not bad.
