Good coffee aroma and taste, with notes of chocolate. Good balance between sweet and smoke. No head or lacing. Medium body. daddyslick (36) - Arizona, USA - MAR 17, 2008
Even though the bottle informs you it is made with coffee, I was not prepared for how well they blended the coffee flavor and the mild molasses-like flavor of the porter. It was pretty low bodied, which is a bit out of style for porters, but it really just increased the drinkability of this beer imadeadguy (378) - back in NJ!, New Jersey, USA - MAR 15, 2008
Lighter brown pour with small off white head. Strong aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Flavors of COFFEE, malt, and chocolate. This one is gona wake you up! A little thin for a porter, but solid overall. zathrus13 (1776) - Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA - MAR 10, 2008
Dark brown, with a tan head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt, and chocolate. Flavor is coffee, sugar, chocolate, and roasted malt. Thin body. Thanks tio footbalm for this one. mcnally (114) - Burbank, California, USA - MAR 7, 2008
Tried this on tap and also from the bottle. The beer is decent both ways, but not memorable. Near pitch black pour with nice retention on the tan head. Aroma and flavor are both faint until the beer warms from fridge temp. Then the coffee bean and cocoa comes to the front of the palate. Aroma is still weak though. Could have used some roast. Coffee doesn’t balance well and is overpowering.

Not a great porter. I got this from Liquid Solutions so I have to wonder if this was sitting for a while. The aroma was average. There was some coffee and roasted malt present, but not big. The pour was disappointing. A flat thin black with no head. Taste was thin and a bit watery. No carbonation with only aftertaste of bitter coffee. As it warms, there is some roasted malt that fills the mouth but it is very distant. Blah. TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 3, 2008
12 oz bottle. Dark brown with a balsa head. Nose is coffee and cocoa. Medium body, milky, with mild carb. Taste is coffee beans and chocolate. Finish a bit vegetal. Coffee is nicely featured. A bit sweet but very drinkable. JonR888710 (999) - Cochabamba, BOLIVIA - MAR 2, 2008
You’ve got to be kidding me. 12 oz bottle purchased at ABC store in Waikiki, Oahu. Pours a thin black with a smallish off-white head. Aroma is all coffee and slight chocolate. Taste is thin, watery, bitter coffee, sour. I don’t taste any malts or other components of a beer. Coffee, old and acrid. Nothing to enjoy here. I have 1 more bottle so I’ll give a second try to this. But after that first one, I really don’t want to. kmweaver (3207) - Petaluma, California, USA - FEB 29, 2008
12oz bottle, courtesy of a trade from a while ago. Thanks! Pours a dark, clear chocolate-brown color; fizzy light-tan head with decent retention and medium-bubbled lacing. Lots of watery coffee grounds in the aroma; not much else. Medium mouthfeel: slightly watery body, mixed with decently roasted coffee grounds (though still a bit green / vegetal), roasted malts, and just a touch of chocolate, though not enough of the latter two to add any fullness or potent creaminess to the palate; wet coffee, with a bit of porter. Medium finish: dough, roasted malts, and chocolate. 19Ei8hty (1166) - Washington, USA - FEB 29, 2008
Lots of coffee in tha aroma. Thin and weak malt punctuated by a smooth, lightly roasted coffee flavor but is a little too sour with a weird spice.
