3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Prominent roasted coffee and chocolate, along with some soil-like earthy aromas. Almost black, with tan head foam that diminishes quickly. Dry, bitter, and savory, with coffee and earthy flavors. The palate is quite full bodied, creamy, carbonation is fizzy, and finishes with dry roasted coffee flavors.
Dark brown with thin tan head
Aroma is malty with hints of molasses
Flava is rich roasty malt with distinct coffee notes
Feels medium with moderate fizz
Finishes mildly sweet and roasty some chocolate notes bus (7) - - JUL 25, 2017 does not count
Very nice, I like it a lot. I love porters, and this is a pretty nice one.
Probably could use more of an initial appearance and aroma.
It's nice to experience coffee notes from Hawaii.

355ml bottle pours a dark brown color with a finger of light beige head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasted grains, coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Taste is a light roasted grain and coffee bitterness with a chocolate malty sweetness. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Overall, a well crafted porter that is balanced and tasty. drmet (980) - GERMANY - JUL 18, 2017
-pours the darkest of brown with no light coming through and a medium,foamy,sand-coloured head
-coffee,licorice,umami,chocolate,plums, to medium bitterniss for the style
-light to medium body
A really good Porter with more pronounced Coffee and Chocolate Notes. pintbypint (3672) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 7, 2017
12oz bottle. Deep brown with deep orange highlights and a thin beige head that leavds good lacing. Big coffee nose, chocolatey and fudgey, caramel. Taste - bold coffee with chocolate/cocoa notes. A trace of minerals and coffee/dark roast acidity. Medium body. Coffee aftertaste. Just a solid coffee porter.

Michael27 (2105) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAY 1, 2017
Aus der Flasche getrunken (Händlerlieferung). Fast schwarz mit schöner Schaumkrone. Die Kaffeenoten sind nicht zu stark ausgeprägt. Ericular (1022) - Minnesota, USA - APR 22, 2017
Mild root beer sweetness in aroma. Taste is also a bit atrifically sweet, decent coffee in the finish. High carbonation. OK but not great. mjmoen (551) - - APR 22, 2017
C-. Pours a black color with khaki head. Too much coffee flavor for my taste.
