Strong coffee aroma. Some roasted malts, coffee. Delivers on the kona. Simple but effective.
12floz bottle, dated 08.15.2017 (unknown if BBD or BOD), $1.75 unit cost, mug glass. Color is definitely dark brown, but light is able to shine through much of this beer to redden and lighten it up some. Head development is small and stable. Aroma keeps it simple, hitting the right amount of roastiness without going too far. Palate reflects much the same even kneel sensibility. Toasted dark bread flavor over a medium body makes for beer that can be session worthy. Rasmus40 (22684) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - JAN 31, 2018
Bottle from Craftbeer-shop.com. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 310118 BeerInHeaven (509) - Brillion, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 20, 2018
pours cola brown with a medium tan head. Big coffee aroma with some roasted malts mixed in. Very nice flavor. Like coffee with flavored creamer. I can tell this recipe was finely tuned. Bittersweet finish and linger. This is outstanding! theworldaloha () - Grand Island, Nebraska, USA - JAN 16, 2018
The greatest Dark Hawaiian beer ever! It's nice and thick with a nice coffee taste pivnizub (10959) - Bochum, GERMANY - JAN 6, 2018
Bottle: Very deep chestnut-amber coloured, presumably clear, small and rather quickly vanishing off-white foamy layer, distincgive, dryish bitter-sweet nose of toasted malt and coffee, some caramelly spots underneath, herbal hops in the background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, pretty smooth; lingering fruity-caramelly finish with coffee and bitter and earthy hops in the aftertaste. A pleasant brew...n

It tastes like coffee, as it should. Nothing overly special about this beer. It's not bad. It's not great.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Black-brown with ruby highlights and a thin tan head. It has a milk chocolate and coffee flavour with rich malt, roasted notes and more chocolate-coffee on the smooth, creamy finish. Very good. BlackHaddock (8073) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - DEC 10, 2017
16 oz pour into a plastic becker at the Saw Dust Festival in Laguna Niguel, California on 10th Dec 2017. Dark coffee look, tanned topping. Loads of coffee esters in the nose, some chocolate notes too. The taste is all about the malts (just like the aroma), roasted, toasted, robust and full bodied, an easy drinking Porter, pity about the plastic container I had to drink it out of. donalg (134) - Cork, IRELAND - NOV 25, 2017
Bottle from Bradley's in cork. Pours dark brown. Chocolate and coffee aroma with a hint of toffee. CocolTe, coffee, woody, smokey flavours. I like the fact that the coffee is very evident but it doesn't totally take over and it's not too overpowering. Great beer. vinivini (3247) - Gomel, BELARUS - NOV 7, 2017
Bottle. Murky deep brown colour. Good head of beige. Aroma: roast & coffee, some earth, minor molasses & dried fruit. Light to medium body. Medium dry taste. Malty. Roast, coffee. A touch of treacle. Dry ending. Light bitterness. Very drinkable stuff.
