COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pipeline Porter is smooth and dark with a distinctive roasty aroma and earthy complexity from its diverse blends of premium malted barley. This celebration of malt unites with freshly roasted 100% Kona coffee grown at Cornwell Estate on Hawaii’s Big Island, lending a unique roasted aroma and flavor. A delicate blend of hops rounds out this palate-pleasing brew.

12oz bottle from Village Beer Merchant in Buffalo, NY poured into a large Tim Horton’s cup sans lid. Looked pitch black, but not viscous. Aroma is very straightforward dark roasted malt with a moderate amount of coffee. I’m getting some sourness that i’d equate either to an acidic cup of strong black coffee or a dry irish stout. Very light mouthfeel, bit of a chewy chocolate/coffee finish. I was excited by the "100% kona coffee" label, and was a bit letdown that there wasn’t more coffee flavor going on. All in all a decent lighter porter and the best beer I’ve sampled from the brewery’s 4 offerings in New York State.

The greatest Dark Hawaiian beer ever! It's nice and thick with a nice coffee taste

pivnizub (10905) - Bochum, GERMANY - JAN 6, 2018
Bottle: Very deep chestnut-amber coloured, presumably clear, small and rather quickly vanishing off-white foamy layer, distincgive, dryish bitter-sweet nose of toasted malt and coffee, some caramelly spots underneath, herbal hops in the background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, pretty smooth; lingering fruity-caramelly finish with coffee and bitter and earthy hops in the aftertaste. A pleasant brew...n

It tastes like coffee, as it should. Nothing overly special about this beer. It's not bad. It's not great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

zacgillbanks (5651) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - DEC 21, 2017
Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Black-brown with ruby highlights and a thin tan head. It has a milk chocolate and coffee flavour with rich malt, roasted notes and more chocolate-coffee on the smooth, creamy finish. Very good.

BlackHaddock (7956) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - DEC 10, 2017
16 oz pour into a plastic becker at the Saw Dust Festival in Laguna Niguel, California on 10th Dec 2017. Dark coffee look, tanned topping. Loads of coffee esters in the nose, some chocolate notes too. The taste is all about the malts (just like the aroma), roasted, toasted, robust and full bodied, an easy drinking Porter, pity about the plastic container I had to drink it out of.

donalg (120) - Cork, IRELAND - NOV 25, 2017
Bottle from Bradley's in cork. Pours dark brown. Chocolate and coffee aroma with a hint of toffee. CocolTe, coffee, woody, smokey flavours. I like the fact that the coffee is very evident but it doesn't totally take over and it's not too overpowering. Great beer.

vinivini (3146) - Gomel, BELARUS - NOV 7, 2017
Bottle. Murky deep brown colour. Good head of beige. Aroma: roast & coffee, some earth, minor molasses & dried fruit. Light to medium body. Medium dry taste. Malty. Roast, coffee. A touch of treacle. Dry ending. Light bitterness. Very drinkable stuff.

rumproasts (6052) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 28, 2017
bottle. Deep brown with one finger head. Roasty malt, lots of chocolate. Smooth body. Not complex, but what's here is pleasant. Better than I expected it to be.

Smooth. Coffee taste is good. Color is great. After a while ends up being a little too sweet for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
