A bottom-fermented dark beer speciality, which is manufactured in traditional Bavarian brewing procedure.

From Hipercor. In Bavaria hefe glass. Watching Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Typical profile of a dunkel very well executed. Ultradrinkable, with pleasant roastyness and well adjusted bitterness that leaves great end

500ml bottle Dark brown pour with sudsy head. Malty aroma plus grain and bread. Malty taste. Dry plus oaky/woody note. Not much of a palate plus a bit oxidized too.

Vells (1938) - Rīga, LATVIA - NOV 7, 2017
Nice roast level, some coffee kick, bit earthy. Moderate sweetness with light bitterness. Bit too thin in finish. Lovely though.

rane (1100) - Nibe, DENMARK - OCT 16, 2017
Dark brown with pale brown head. Aroma coffee and toffee. Taste bread, malt, not worst.

AssKicker (657) - Strasbourg, FRANCE - OCT 11, 2017
Couleur brun/rubis bien limpide.

kustie (1312) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 30, 2017
Bottle. Dark brown color with quite thick head. Aroma has malt, caramel. Taste is malty sweet with quite long aftertaste. Flavors of caramel, dark malt, dark fruits.

tombyars (1768) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - SEP 28, 2017
Tasted this in King Ludwig Castle pub in Disneyland, Paris on the 20th September 2017. Keg dispense 500ml in tall glass. Clear mahogany in colour with a thin buff head. Malty aroma with just a hint of sweet toffee. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Smoky malt base gives a light sweet maltloaf base with toffee malts much in evidence. Slight earthy damp aftertaste with a light hop prickle in the weak bitterness. Finish is malty with hints of raisin fruit and sweet toffee still there on the palate. A decent Brown Ale which is miles better than the golden Euro Fizz going about Disneyland!
