A dark red beer with a beutiful head - but it lacks aroma. It has a fresh slightly prickling flavor that ends in a slight metallic aftertaste. joergen (28108) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 7, 2006

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, orangey brown with a small, beige head. Lovely, classical aroma of roasted malt. Medium body with plenty of roasted malt, but dry and very quaffable. Far from sophisticated but top notch German quality. 171006 Travlr (24745) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 3, 2010
Dark chestnut brown with a thin tan head and moderate lacing.
Dark fruit aroma with malt and caramel, some vanilla.
Flavor starts with sweet malt and progresses to plums and dates, slight bitter finish.
Slightly on the thin side, consistent with the style.
Good example of a dunkel, nice enough, but not outstanding. cgarvieuk (24465) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 6, 2007
