COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A bottom-fermented dark beer speciality, which is manufactured in traditional Bavarian brewing procedure.

Dark crimson beer with a foamy nice head, just goes away too fast. Aroma of dark roasted malts, hint of coffee and chocolate. Metallic notes. Medium carbonation, quite light mouthfeel. A bit watery feeling, same with the taste. Malts, dark chocolate, a bit metallic taste. This is an okay beer but somehow a bit too much on the light side.

From a 500ml bottle on 2/12/2017. Pours a dark amber with a small head. The aroma is malty and features a good dose of dark bread. The flavour features lots of malt - caramel, chocolate, toast and nuts. reasonably sweet with a gentle bitterness finishing things off.Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A pleasant, well made dunkel.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2017 a mellow favourite. a touch bitter, a touch sweet, a bit malty, a bit caramely, but none overshadowing others. Could be boring to some but I feel Iike stocking up a few cases.

tfredvik (2074) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 26, 2017
Very deep copper body with a beige head that sticks to the glass. Quite strong and lager-ish aroma of caramel, with a background of overripe generic fruits, dark dried fruits, toasted malt, and hints of chocolate. Quite strong taste of pilsner malt, dark caramel and malt extract, with dark dried fruits and other fruits in the back, along with brown sugar and burnt sugar. Light to moderate sweet taste with a light bitter and long-lasting finish. Light to medium body, dry texture, moderate carbonation. Nothing wrong with this one, other than being quite boring.
[50 cl bottle enjoyed 9 months before BB date, from Gardermoen Airport OSL]

From Hipercor. In Bavaria hefe glass. Watching Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Typical profile of a dunkel very well executed. Ultradrinkable, with pleasant roastyness and well adjusted bitterness that leaves great end

500ml bottle Dark brown pour with sudsy head. Malty aroma plus grain and bread. Malty taste. Dry plus oaky/woody note. Not much of a palate plus a bit oxidized too.

Nice roast level, some coffee kick, bit earthy. Moderate sweetness with light bitterness. Bit too thin in finish. Lovely though.

AssKicker (718) - Strasbourg, FRANCE - OCT 11, 2017
Couleur brun/rubis bien limpide.
