COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The world’s first and only Trappist white ale that continues to ferment slightly after bottling. Brewed using only water, wheat, and hops. No herbs are added. Saphir hops give the ale its citrusy aroma. A real thirst-quencher on a hot summer’s day that also makes for a delicious drink at any other time of the year.

Strong aroma with touch of hops smell. Great foam and appearance. The taste is malty and very low hopping. It is kind of watery.

Small bottle as "La Trappe Witte Trappist". Cloudy straw yellow body with a medium head. Typical wit aroma with wheat and citric notes. Thin body but this seems to be the norm with this style. Slightly watery wheaty taste with some citric sourness. Plain and average witbier but I did expect much more from a Trappist brewery.

330ml bottle - Very pale for a witbier. Lemony colour. The taste is a typical witbier, with all the elements in it: coriander, citrus tastes, some bitterness, a little bit fruity like bananas. Not an exciting beer and probably my least favourite to carry the tag "trappist"!

Bottle shared with McTapps. Pours in cloudy with a nice sour yeast aroma. Tastes easy but doesn’t offer that special something. Just another witbier in this case but coming as a quality beer. Definitely drinkable.

Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Looks and aroma like Hoegaarden, means milky yellow colour with fluffy and steady head. Taste of sweet yeast, light mal, green bananas. Very high carbonation, not that easy to drink but really nice.

330ml bottle. Bit hazy light yellow color. Small white head. Sweet, banana, malty, grainy aroma. Dry, yeasty, malty flavor. Somewhat crisp, but not very exciting.

Bottle at Huppel The Pub, Den Haag. Poured a slightly cloudy yellow straw colour with a big white frothy head and lots of carbonation. The aroma is weak but with some yeasty notes. The flavour is yeasty fruity with a hint of sourness on the palate. Not a favourite but quite drinkable.
