COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The world’s first and only Trappist white ale that continues to ferment slightly after bottling. Brewed using only water, wheat, and hops. No herbs are added. Saphir hops give the ale its citrusy aroma. A real thirst-quencher on a hot summer’s day that also makes for a delicious drink at any other time of the year.

Aroma is fabulous and inviting: fresh and perky with fruits. Slightly coriander. Hazy straw yellow with quite dense head which is long. Taste has excotic fruits and citrus, coriander, little pepper. Light and fresh, bit sourness, fizzy carbonation. Overall everything nicely in correct places and in good balance: good flavors, nice nuances. One to enjoy.

Bottle, 330ml from Burg Bieren, Ermelo, Netherlands. Hazy yellow gold with white head. Tastes like a definite Witbier. cloves, spices with banana ester, quite lasting on the palate whilst being fairly thin perhaps. Reasonable enough for the style.

ElDesmadre (3630) - Mikołów, POLAND - JUL 9, 2012
Bottle. Refreshing, crisp citrusy aroma with spices (clove, coriander), also some banana and malt. Seems to be middle ground between a Belgian and a German wheat beer. Sourish taste, high carbo, reasonably aromatic with some banana and bready notes retronasal. Refreshing but not bland - nothing to complain about.

mikkellund42 (907) - DENMARK - JUL 8, 2012
Bottle in Amsterdam. Pours opaque pale yellow with medium white head. Aroma is malt, dust, cooked vegetables and hints of Asian spices. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with faint acidic hints. Body is watery with soft carbonation. Finish is short and dry with notes of Asian fruits. Not a very good witbier - stick to the dubble and triple, guys :-)

330 ml bottle. Pours cloudy dark yellow colour with a huge white foamy head that stays quite a long time. Mild but pleasant aroma with banana, floral hops, wheat and yeast. Great taste of banana, some flowers, wheat and mild malty undertone. Light to medium bodied, still quite a thick mouthfeel and soft carbonation. A really enjoyable and refreshing beer. Suites well for a hot summerday.

Tasted: tap at Liberty Taproom. Sweet wheat aroma with spiced touch. Light golden color with a solid carbonation. A sweet crisp taste with a slight tart finish. A refreshing drinkable brew.

Bottle. Slightly hazy gold with a big, white head. Light, citrus, coriander and yeast aroma. Easy drinking, with grainy malts, orange and a dryish finish. Fine.
