COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The worlds first and only Trappist white ale that continues to ferment slightly after bottling. Brewed using only water, wheat, and hops. No herbs are added. Saphir hops give the ale its citrusy aroma. A real thirst-quencher on a hot summers day that also makes for a delicious drink at any other time of the year.

Bottle, 330. Pours moderately cloudy light straw/yellow with a large amount of fairly dense frothy white head. Head retains a while and lacing is quite thick. Low amount of visible carb. Aroma is fresh, fruity and slightly herbal with a bit of coriander. Theres hints of lemon, clove, some earthy notes and a light sweet malt backbone. Not very creamy with few lactic hints, as in St Bernadus Wit for example. Taste is light and fresh again with more citrus and some spruce-y, pine-y hops going on. Very light bitter and very light sour. Finish is again slightly sour with some lingering aromatic herbal notes and light wheat. Body is light but texture is a bit sticky and with the harsh carbonation its not as easy drinking as it could be. Decent but not the best.

Bottle. Pours light orange color with medium-big head which didnt existed too long. Aroma of mostly orange and yeast. In flavor dominaton of oranges and lemon zest with some alcoholic and dusty notes. Light body. Dry finish. Overall: ok but expected more. Alcogol is too agressive and there is some , for me, unpleasant yeast flavors.

Bottle, 33cl. Pours cloudy pale yellow with medium off-white head. Citrus, wheat, yeast, coriander, lemon and spices. Taste mediumsweet with citrus, coriander and wheat being mostly noticable. Little bananas and malt as well. Very light bodied and easy drinkable, refreshing for sure. Gently sweet, bitter and sour finish. Quite good.

Gedronken bij de abdij zelf, aan de voorgang van een excursie. Lekker fris bier, met niet uitzonderlijk veel smaak. Lekker voor op een zomerse dag.

Pours yellowish with little white head. Aroma is citrus, coriander, lemon peel, some cereals. Flavour is citrusy, spices, mild malt presence, a metallic note lingers a bit in the end. Fizzy carbonation and medium to low body. Not the best belgian wit but not bad anyway.
