COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The worlds first and only Trappist white ale that continues to ferment slightly after bottling. Brewed using only water, wheat, and hops. No herbs are added. Saphir hops give the ale its citrusy aroma. A real thirst-quencher on a hot summers day that also makes for a delicious drink at any other time of the year.

Colore giallo paglierino, velata, schiuma persistente bianca e fine, carbonazione alta. Aroma di speziato, lievito, frutta gialla, arancia. In bocca scorre via veloce, senza troppo corpo e con una gasatura un p eccessiva, che ben pulisce il palato ma che ci toglio un p di sapori

Aroma and taste pleasant but not overwhelming: bread and citrus. Not watery but could have had a bit more character.

Bottle 0.33l. Almost clear yellow body, small white head. Medicinal aroma with tones of licorice, wheat, yeast, herbs and spices. Taste is neutral, slightly sour. Cough drops, licorice, honey, apples, wheat, disinfection. Medium body, high carbonation.
Medicinal tones are very disturbing, but on the other side, not really bad...

33cl glass from the tap at Bit in Den Haag. Pours a hazy golden yellow colour with a big creamy head which slowly diminishes to a thick layer on top and leaves a fair amount of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, orange zest, cloves, ginger, bit of yeast. Moderate sweet, light bitter with a strong spicy finish. Notes of yeast, citrus, ginger, cloves, coriander, orange zest, grain. Texture is a bit watery, light bodied with soft carbonation

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2016 On tap in Greenville, SC. Very large, foamy, off-white head over a sparkling amber body. Heavily spiced banana bread in the nose. Flavor: Spicy to the point of medicinal, but better than that description sounds. Lingering aftertaste of mixed spices and faint wheat. Medium-light body with medium-high carbonation.

Alebarasi (42) - Dobrova, SLOVENIA - OCT 4, 2016
Clear straw-like yellow color. Solid and lasting white head. Intense wheaty-malty scent with aromas of tropical fruits, lemon and orange zest, herbs (ginger, coriander, cloves) and grains. Fruitiness dominates in its taste, followed by spiciness of mentioned herbs. Kind of bitter aftertaste. Very hoppy one for a "witbier", but interesting nonetheless.
