Geruch hopfig, getreidig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig, grasig, lang anhaltende Bitterkeit.

50 cL bottle, label scratched by my wife before I even opened the bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is grassy and straw, light metallic. Bitter, grassy and light straw. Bitter and dry finish.

Draught @ NWE Diep, Amsterdam. Crystal clear golden-yellow, with bright white head. Smells fresh of mild spices. Taste is bit spicy bitter, with rounded of full aftertaste. Textbook Czech pilsner, nice.

50 cl Bottle. Amber, clear with a minimal white head. Light malty and citrus aroma. Light bitter taste with a malty ending. The bottle was better than the beer.......

Golden color liquid beneath a sketchy white head that quickly falls to islands of what appears to be bubbles. But looks sickly. Little bit of lacing. Dry aroma of hops and malt. And something a little off. Watered down malt and harsh roasted taste. Sweet malt aftertaste. Not bad once you get past the aroma and sight of it.

500ml bottle. Very clear golden colour with small frothy white head. Bitter hop aroma, some malt, makes a somewhat insipid impression. For some reason "railway station lavatory" comes in my mind. Taste is watery, flowery, one-dimensional, boring. I was right. This must be exactly the stuff those cheerless figures, spending their day in railway station pubs drinking and smoking, feed themselves.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2011 Half litre bottle, poured half into HB flute, small head. Very light colour, clear. Sweet smell, hoppy, saaz?. The sweetest czech pils i’ve tasted, hints of pear, a bit nutty. Smooth mouthfull. Very sessionable. I’ve tasted most of the big Czech beers + some from smaller breweries and have to say this is the best i’ve had. Don’t turn down if it’s offered

Lahev (Diky, Quack-Ducku!): The bottle looks good, because there’s a kurva on the label..... Golden, a bit unclear, medium-sized and slowly collapsing white head; delicate buttery, distinctive pale-malty and hoppy nose; dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, malty base - as expected - detectable; bitter Saaz and pale-malty finish. Good pivo, maybe a bit too tart.....

MoritzF (9491) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - DEC 22, 2010
(bottle) Slightly unclear, golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Typical Bohemian scent: slightly oxidised malty nose with notes of butter, biscuits and traces of woody hops. Slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Mildly buttery malty base with present herbal and woody hops, dry and slightly bitter hoppy finish with a tinge of metal. 22.XII.10
