Bottle 330ml from Swords. Masterpiece, with great hoppiness in taste and aroma. The nose has burnt caramel, pine, grass, and some smoke. Taste has a strong bitter backbone, spiciness, and very long length. Palate is creamy, and full bodied. Dark brown, cloudy, with a frothy head. Brenhophead (695) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 2, 2012
330mL bottle, Pours pitch black but less viscosity then that of a stout and a big tan head. Aroma is amazing on this beer.. huge resinous hop hit on the nose and then the creamy chocolate with a slight hint of coffee. So much hop flavour to this beer but it is so well balanced with elements of the darker malts... i am falling in love. Kooinda can you do no wrong? If you get the chance to try this beer, do it! its amazing! RichardHFish (11) - - APR 13, 2013
Bottle, The Burrow, West End, QLD. A great example of a black IPA, jet black, even when held to the light. Great aroma, filled with the coffee and slightly burnt notes that fit the colour. Taste half matches the aroma, but has spicy and floral flavours permeating through, which are nicely matched to the malt body. The abv sits nicely in with the flavour profile. Overall, awesome beer! jdpeebs (686) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUN 28, 2013
330ml Bottle- A very good beer............................................. mkel07 (5845) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JUL 30, 2011
330ml bottle. Pours and looks like a stout with a big thick brown head and dense black colour and then you get a big hop punch, my two favourite things, black beer and big hoppy aroma. Strong malty flavour with roasted malts and a big sweet finish. Unusual but good.

Pours black with a large, dark tan head.
Nose shows masses of passion-fruit, peaches, grapes and pineapple, but with a real sweet edge. Like smelling a bag of jelly snakes! Crazily fruity. Underneath is lots of caramel and some faint roasted malt.
Similarly fruity and sweet flavours, but soon afterwards the roasted malt enters, with soft coffee notes and a resounding, bold bitterness.
Carbonation could be higher, body feels quite thick and syrupy. visionthing (5296) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 19, 2012
33cl bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Pours black with a beige head. Pleny of hops and roasted malt with coffee, dark chocolate, pine and citrus. Sweet with a nice bitter and slightly citric finish. Meduium body. Very nice BIPA. A rare treat for me in this part of the world. Very pleasant! (Bottle) Black with dense milk coffee colorued head. Pleasant aroma: mainly pine with biscuity malty hints in the background. Smooth velvety mouthfilling from plentiful fine carbonation and fairly full body. Flavour starts off surprisingly light and refreshing for such a dark beer and then steadily develops richer stronger tastes. There are berry notes in the start, then coffee and chocolate and dark toffee develop strongly and transform into a really nice long bitter finish - a pleasant and assertive bitterness without being aggressive. A really good black IPA. ComradeK (1230) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 19, 2013
330ml bottle. Pours an opaque black, with a large light beige head, which lasts well and leaves good lacing. Strawberry, kiwifruit and lime hops provide a fruity kick to the aroma, with resin hops, roasty malt and black coffee providing backing. Potent lime and kiwifruit hops up front segue into a more resinous hop flavour. Bitter black coffee and cocoa notes combine with resin in the body, with lime hops reappearing in the finish and lingering, along with strawberry, in the aftertaste. This is a seriously good black IPA, and one of the best Australian beers I have had for quite a while. Rangi (672) - NEW ZEALAND - SEP 14, 2013
Really enjoyed this black Ipa. Great black poor with a nice soapy head lasting throughout the beverage. Aroma of dry coco slight aroma of some fruitiness from the hops but nothing dominant. Taste is dry very dry but there is a nice mellowness achieved that rings that dryness in and doesn’t ruin the experience. Packed full of flavour this beverage with coco and coffee just coming through at times then some superb bitter fruit flavour. Enjoyable beer.
