Smell is musty, yeasty, like mould but pleasant. before shaking it is a slightly cloudy yellow that you can see through with difficulty, after shaking it is nearly opaque white with a good bit of foamy "head". it tastes like a lot of rice that has been rubbed with sweaty gym clothes in the best way possible. fermented rice, but with a fair bit of sweetness from the aspartame. no sourness is detectable. it’s thick and leaves a bit of a dusty feeling from the rice particles on the throat. it’s 100% rice, but a bit strong on the artificial sweetener and actually tastes much less interesting than most makkeolis with live yeast. a good everyday makkeoli with few faults but no triumphs.
