COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial Baltic Porter 26° BLG aged with Suska Sechlonska (dried plum with smoky aroma). Black beer with fine-beige foam. The aroma hits a riot of dark smells: coffee, cocoa, chocolate and chocolate pralines with lavishly-heeled fruit liqueur. All of this raises combined with notes of noble alcohol and smoked fruit. The vast smoked note comes not from smoked malts, but the application of Suska Sechlonska - smoked dried plum coming from Sechna village that have the European Union Protected Geographical Indication certificate. The taste confirms everything that appeared in the aroma. Smooth chocolate and the best Belgian pralines combine with delicate sweetness, roastiness and slightly sour coffee finish and noble, warming alcohol notes.

(bottle) black-brown in colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of burnt grassy fields, debrecziner and smoking shanties, with some notes of sheep's hides, turkish delight and dried cherries. flavour is mostly smoked plums and herbal hops, with more dried fruit, a hint of yeast slurry, some dark toffee, leather, bubble gum and a light roasted-bitter finish. medium to heavy-bodied with average carbonation. great stuff!

Bottle. Darkest brown, low head. Burned seaweed in the aroma. Tasted like the burned village of my enemies, Prune trees on the beach burned while the sun went down in the aftertaste. Crunchy oyster shells. Medium full dry body, ashen on the palate. Very interesting.

anstei (2510) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - AUG 31, 2017
Bottle, at SinH4-5K-MoritzF-10K tasting. Pours darkest brown. Aroma is prunes, chocolate, coffee, cocoa, some booze. Body is heavy and intense, but still prunes and dark fruit. Good balance, also with the low carbonation. Chocolate, pralines, indeed. Lingering palate. Slightly boozy, but it fits well. Very good!
