COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial Baltic Porter 26° BLG aged with Suska Sechlonska (dried plum with smoky aroma). Black beer with fine-beige foam. The aroma hits a riot of dark smells: coffee, cocoa, chocolate and chocolate pralines with lavishly-heeled fruit liqueur. All of this raises combined with notes of noble alcohol and smoked fruit. The vast smoked note comes not from smoked malts, but the application of Suska Sechlonska - smoked dried plum coming from Sechna village that have the European Union Protected Geographical Indication certificate. The taste confirms everything that appeared in the aroma. Smooth chocolate and the best Belgian pralines combine with delicate sweetness, roastiness and slightly sour coffee finish and noble, warming alcohol notes.

Side by side. First batch > second batch. More smoked plums, more intensive, simply a more interesting beer. Second one had more chocolate and alcohol (drinking fresh after the release in January 2017).

Quite plain and a bit booring. Smokey rauchbier’ish arome and flavor of smoked ham, berries and dark malts. simple and not something I would write home about.

Bottle thanks to michael (totally forgot his username but he met me in south Florida and brought me this and some polish malt liquor. Chill bro). Pour is nearly flat and dark dark brown to black. Nose is deep and rich with tied fruit. A ton of raisin and prune. Vinous. Light tobacco. Some tea leaves. Light grape. Wowe. A hint of smoke (so maybe more since I love smoke). Taste is a lot more smoke forward than I expected. Initially a smoked grape leaf. Interesting. Almost Madeira. Rich. Some fudge. And light cocoa. Pretty damn good. The smoke component is slightly unexpected and on the verge of just making this a smoke beer rather than a Baltic Porter. I can appreciate this but have had much better smoke beers and much better Baltic porters.

Druga warka, pite w ślepym teście z Porterem Jubileuszowym i Podbitym. Kolor całkiem czarny, z minimalnymi refleksami. Piana niewielka, szybko opada. Jedno z najlepszych polskich piw.

500 ml. bottle. Thanks to Al for arranging delivery. Shared with friends. Pours almost black with just a tiny tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, dark fruit, and smoke. Taste is roasted malt, dark chocolate, plums/prunes, vanilla, raisins, and smoke. It kind of grew on me as I sipped my glass. Very good, glad I had the chance to try it. Doubt that I go after it again.

Zaskakuje brak piany. Smak z początku alkoholowy z czasem nabiera bogacactwo i pełnie smaku o wędzonke, susz, śliwkę, popiół, lekka kawa, a finisz deserowy czekoladowy.

Alkohol delikatny, szlachetny. Warka pierwsza w wersji butelkowej znacznie lepsza od drugiej.

UPDATED: JUN 25, 2017 Aroma: chocolate, coffee, roasty, soy sauce, smoke, alcohol. Appearance: black, minimal head, brown foam. Taste: light sweetness, medium bitterness, lightly sour, salty. Palate: full body, oily feel; carbonation: lively; Finish: astringent,

Bottle. Aroma- fantastic composition of plums, smoky notes, chocolate and delicate pumpernickel notes. Intensive and well-balanced. Totally black, unclear, with almost no head. Taste- dark chocolate, sweet plums (smokiness comes to a background), and stronger pumpernickel notes than in the aroma, which stay till the aftertaste. Medium, roastiness. Alcohol softly warms the throat. Full-bodied, with a minimal carbonation. Fantastic Baltic Porter.
