Clear dark dark red - black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate malt. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate, licorice. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20100904]

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, dark berry, raisin, prune, wood. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dark malt, chocolate, dark fruit - licorice. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Bottled (thanks Kim N!). Black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate, mild tobacco, some raisins, quite sweetish malts and mild sweet alcohol as well. Flavour is mild liquorice, chocolate, some toasted malts, sweet alcohol as well as mild honeylike notes. Mild burnt and ashy wooden notes as well. Rather bodied and nice.

Pours very dark reddish brown colour with a mid-sized tan head. Aroma of mild dark roasted malt, liquorice, chocolate and vanilla. Taste of sweet dark roasted malt, caramel, vanilla, toffee, chocolaste, fascinating!
