Draught. Redcopperish colour, big foasmy white head. Berries and fruit along with malt in aroma. Sweet malty beginning with huge vegetably hoppy finish. Long bitterish aftertaste. Very filling mouthfeel. laiti (8481) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 13, 2013
Draught @ the brewpubraymondwave (931) - FINLAND - AUG 9, 2008
Malty aroma with some hops, nuts and a slight feeling of contamination (Koulu house aroma). Flavour is malty with toffee, caramel, some nuts and very slight sourness with earthy notes. Finishes with moderate hops. Good, the sourness does not disturb and actually somehow even suits this beer.
Tap at Koulu. Copper with thick off white / even beigish lacing head. Nose is syrupy, buttery, malty, full and sweet. Flavor is sweetish, malty, syrupy, a bit toasted bread, even hoppiness and some butterness to round it up. I was told it’s a bitter, but could be vienna too. Nothing summerlike in this, but fairly musty, non-refreshing, full wintery beer to me. Good and tasty. tkrjukoff (4335) - SWEDEN - JUL 26, 2011
Tap @ Koulu. Pours dark amber with am off white head. Aroma is fruuty, strawberries, malty and bready. Flavor is fruity, very msltu, sweer and well hopped. Finishes sweet and malty and bitter. TET (3034) - Kaarina, FINLAND - MAY 26, 2012
A slightly cloudy, copperbrown beer with a medium and blond head. Aroma is toffeeish, slightly aromatic, wooden hoppyness. Taste is biscuity, nice bitterness, hint of vegetables, overally quite dry. Quite balanced, biscuity beer with wooden hoppyness.

, later Black door) Clear amber color with a small head. Caramely, slightly wineous and acidic aroma. Toffee-caramely, mildly acidic berry flavor with mild, roasty bitterness and some metal. Light to medium-bodied palate with soft carbonation. Cant see the summer connection, but easy and ok session beer.
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2012 Draught (Koulu, Turku) original version (6:4:6:4:13=3.3)TBone (17587) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 28, 2005
Rich perfumey aroma, a touch floral. Rich smooth malty body,
carbonation soft. Summer 2010, and the cellar temperature is warmer
than normal, so this is much more flavoursome and aromatic than
normal. Plenty of cakey malts, very refreshing. A touch of sticky hops
in the finish. Lovely fresh lager.
Rerate: Tap (SOPP2012, Turku) - as Toinen Kesä "unfiltered version of kesä" (5:3:5:3:10=2.8)
Sweet fruity aroma, a little sugary sweetness. Slightly sticky palate, pleasantly crisp carbonation. Some slight meatiness, some kidney. Nice bitter hoppy finish, fresh full whole hop flowers - noble, and a bit metallic.

Dark amber color, small creamy tanned head. Nose is yeasty, some berries (strawberry) and hops. Good soft palate. Hops are combined with a bit sweet malty backbone. Nice hoppy bitter aftertaste. Good summer brew (Kesäolut = Summer beer), which should fit to autumn too. (7/3/7/4/14 3.5)
Re-rated 2006 edition
The 1st beer after 3 weeks medical treatment.
Amber brown clear color, steady beige foam. Very bready, slightly yeasty nose. Very typical Koulu-aroma. Very malty, harsh bitterness towards the finish. Bready, malty, harsh hoppy aftertaste. Quite close to what Finnish Karjala-beer used to be. (5/3/5/2/10 2.5)
Clear amber color, good big creamy white head. Stinky toilet aroma with hints of hops. Light bodied, active carbonation. Light caramel, light bready maltyness. Probably nice beer with food, but aroma was odd. (4/3/6/3/11 2.7)
Amber. Sweet and malty aroma turns into quite bitter hoppiness in the flavor. Not especially summery. spporras (259) - FINLAND - JUN 13, 2007
Door, Helsinki) Malty and slightly hoppy aroma. Amber colour, clear and average size, white head with fair lacing. Malty, slightly toffee and slightly acidic flavour. Light to medium-bodied, softly carbonated and slightly metallic palate. Nothing special! 12/06/07
