Draught at the brewpub Turku. Pale head. Bright pale golden colour. Malty and roasty taste. Average hops. Slightly metallic taste (iron). austone (1062) - Turku; Pori, FINLAND - SEP 19, 2008
Draught @ Koulu. Golden, small white head. Soft, toasty malty aroma, little banana and a slight sourish edge. Smooth malty flavor, toast, banana. Mildly hayish finish. Smoooth round palate. Maybe lacks in hops, but wins in maltiness. mjs (7725) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 3, 2008

Bottle 1,0 l. Pale golden, small white head. Nose is spicy hops, malts and a bit metallic. Flavor is mildly malty, spicy with an elegant hoppy and malty aftertaste. Fresh, with a nice twist in the end. Well made, with a bit of pils touch. FatPhil (17148) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 5, 2008

Rich straw colour, tiny tight head. Served cold, very little aroma.
Fizzy in the mouth, a bit harsh. Simple bready malts, some gingery
hops, but has been emasculated by filtering. Would benefit from a
thicker body. Quite like Plevna Tahti III. 4:2:5:2:9=2.2
Rerate: Summer 2010, where Koulu’s cellar is at a warmer
temperature - 6:3:6:3:12=3.2
A touch of sourness on the nose, but the palate is full. Really
benefits from the increased temperature, there’s a lot more going on
here than when cold. A real fresh lager, lovely.
Yellow/golden. Kinda hard to get a grip on, nothing special in either aroma or flavor. Then again, nothing really wrong with it, just no charisma. Your typical pale lager. Soft maltiness and a slight touch of bitter in the end. Hint of citrus in there somewhere. motelpogo (8031) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - NOV 4, 2007
on tap at koulu in turku. unfiltered and so a lightly hazy golden. fresh but bland, light bitterness, hay and apple juice Marsiblursi (3083) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 9, 2007
(Bottle, thanks oh6gdx) Pours hazy amber. Mustard and mayonnaise aroma with a light grassy touch. A bit grainy, hay like and sourish. Grainy flavour with some metal and a light lemony bitter. Grain and some hay lingers. Light to medium body.
