mjs (7532) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 6, 2011
(Draught at Pošeidon, Helsinki, 20111006) The beer poured golden and a little bit hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had butter, grass and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, butter, grain, herbs, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was grassy and bitter. A tasty pils with a bit too much of diacetyl.

(Draught at U Slovanske Lipy, Prague, 30 July 2011) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with frothy white head. Malty nose with bread, grass, hay and hints of citrus. Malty taste with notes of bread, grass, hay, citrus, hints of vanilla and a gentle bitterness in a fairly dry finish. Rather light body. Decent and quite drinkable.

KyotoLefty (10538) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 22, 2010
Draught, at U Slovanské Lípy, Prague. Somehow fresher, maltier, and hoppier nose than the filtered version. Flavor more complex, though of course less clean and crisp. Estery, with light banana and spice. Slightly sweeter as well. Not as clean, probably better in the winter, but in summer, I put the filtered version a touch above. Wonderful, though, and super tasty.

Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 12, 2010
Draught @ U Slovanske Lipy. I don’t know why it still surprises me, but I still wonder how it’s possible that my favourite Kout is the only one that does not do well over here. Above average effervescence in this hazy golden offering. What strikes is its immediate, pretty much extreme freshness as it approaches the nose. And I’m not even drinking it at the brewpub. Extremely fresh, bready, gently grainy, marvellously cerealic. Pils malt really is unmatched. Almost intensely soft maltiness if you follow me. Quite hoppier than an average 10 degrees, but exquisitely so with its bright floral, leafy, spicy touches that conclude with a rare lemony kiss that makes the difference and I wish was in every pilsner out there. I had the chance to have a sun ray from the window of the table I was sitting at. Taking the risk of skunking my beer (it was so easy to go for a second pint), I was brave and put the beer into the sunlight for a moment. A moment of heaven.

Dedollewaitor (16239) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 1, 2009
UPDATED: MAR 13, 2012 Tap @ U Slovanske Lipy, Prague. Pours unclear hazy yellow with a large creamy white head and lacings. Yeast, hay, grass, herbs and some vague notes of citrus and lemon. Nose also has a bit of butter and buiscuit. Floral, crisp, dry and hoppy. Lovely. Another re-rate. Again fromtap at Lipy. This what I would drink 9/10 if I could. 4-4,2
