Tap at Churchkey. Rating #5200! On tap as "Koutska 12° (Unfiltered/ Unpasteurized)" so I think this rating belongs here as raw krausen was probably not added to the keg here- no heavy yeast in suspension haze. Pours a clearish, low haze, brilliant bright orange, rocky white head. Perfect sheets of white lacing on both full pours I had. Nose is soft valencia orange, sweet peach, butterscotch, pear, mild apple. Taste is spicy, big Saaz hops, sharp metallic notes at first. After warming the harsh metallic twang is gone and replaced by super herbal hoppiness, peach cobbler, crackery pale malt, dried orange. Body is quenching, refreshing, not sticky, not watery. Wow. This is what I needed. 7/5/9/5/16=4.2

Plastic bottle. After this initial spoiler, everything as expected: clear yellow, subdued carbonation, creamy white head. Aroma malts, citruses, some mango? Very fresh clean taste, nice bitter-sweet balance. Hoppy finish.

Pre mńa je to jeden z najlepśich Českých leźiakov... Výborná pena , skvelá rezkosť..príjemná a vyvážená horkosť. Odporúčam každému kto má rád ležiaky.

At the ChurchKey in D.C. A fluffy white head on an amber-gold body. A significant nose features sweet malt and candied fruit. The candied fruit continue into the taste profile, combining well with German malt and a solid dense mouth feel. Tasty summer fare.

1.5l PET bottle. Slightly murky golden body, white head. Aroma of bread, honey, biscuit, green apples, grassy hops and some grains. Taste of bread, grains, honey and pears with grassy and floral hops. Definitely fruitier than the average pilsner. Very nice.

Numerous pours over the past five years: Toasted golden. Fine, persistent white head. Polished malt aromatics of cookie and pecan harmonize with vividly expressed tealike, grassy and lemon candy hops. Notably soft mouthfeel. Graceful carbonation. Lush grassy malt immediately envelops the mouth, gradually progressing into crisper notes of candied pecan which testify to the beautifully decocted malt. Hoppy succulence pervades with appetizing grass and spice characteristics. Sappy oils ooze from the sparkling yet rustic hoppiness, soothing the palate as sassier wood-root spices and tealike notes sizzle fervidly. A metallic twinge of grassy hops aligns with toasted piecrust maltiness in the cohesive finish. Another gem from Kout that exhibits all the old world charm I’ve come to expect from them. Remarkably well-rounded and mind-bogglingly nuanced.
