Creamy fruit salad sailing on an underlying bock-like malt sweetness. Roasted caramel and ashes complete the semi-complexity.
Cloying caramel in an almost nitroed, soft and round body. Sweet chocolate melting into a weak roastiness.
Thick icing on a thin cake is not necessarily as enjoyable as it could be.
Tasted on different trips to Czech Republic. Pours a dark rubyred to brown peer. Very fine laced beige head. Smells sweet-malty. Full body when drinking, alcoholsweetness with some caramel. Ends in not too subtle roasted malts while the tongue is still tangling with carbon. Only a sweet aftertasts survives. A good basic beer for a night in the pub, although a little too sweet to my taste. Skinnyviking (9569) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 26, 2008
Bottle. High fluffy but lasting light brown head. Very dark clear red brown body. Roasted barley malt aroma with a bit of caramel and notes of butter. Very sweet and mild roasted barley malt flavor with caramel. Low carbonation and a short sweet aftertaste. Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - MAR 20, 2008
draught at Plzensky Dvur Smichov. Dark bwon colour, large and very very creamy head. Sweet and malty, full-bodied, hints of roasted malt and caramel. Slightly hoppy only. Surprisingly good. jmgreenuk (9444) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - MAR 24, 2014
Tap at the Staromestska Restaurant, Old Town Square, Prague. Poured a clear dark brown with a big frothy light tan head. The aroma is sweet malt and caramel. The flavour is medium to light sweet with a sweet watery malt light yeast palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Not a lot going on but not so bad either.

bottle. train rating. moderately creamy texture, overall pretty good for bottled dunkel but of course doesn’t match fresh draft anything. toffee, coffee cake, toast, all there but with an oily butter and metal note. taste some bottle and bottle cap in there. blipp (9268) - La Mesa, California, USA - DEC 28, 2014

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2015 I was very surprised, when I realized, that I didn’t rate this beer, although I drunk it several times in past. So I gathered it and I am ready to rate. Bottle. Dark chestnut color with medium light beige head. Roasty aroma with caramel, hints of bitter hops. Taste, roasted malt, caramel, some fruitiness, hints of coffee. Light bitterness in dry finish. Easy drinkable.
