The best dark beer I have ever had. Note that I have only tried the Velkopopovcky Kozel Cerny brewed in the Czech Republic. This is the best dark beer in the world. Not too sweet no bite, just right. Of course, Velkopopovycky just won the gold medal in Belgium for best beer in all three categories: light, medium and dark. This should come as no surprise to people that actually know beer. I would also like to point out that in the Czech Republic, where Kozel comes from, 57% of the people prefer Cerny (dark) Kozel to medium, light or premium light. I agree with them. After all, Czechs drink more beer per capita than any other people in the world.

On bottle. Pours brown, with small foam. The scent is alcoholic, like wine/brown ale mixed, notes of cherries. The taste is horrible. Water, sweet cherries, mixed with something like a brown ale. The carbonation is okay, but not a beer worth drinking.

Uzupełnienie profilu - okoliczności nie pozwalały na wykonanie porządnych notatek, zapisałem tylko noty

Brown pour with a thin pale tan head. Sweet malt aroma,a little dried fruit. Taste is toffee, a bit of roasted malt, slight bitter finish, a bit thin

Jest okej. Bardzo lekki i bardzo pijalny. W smaku słodkawy, w aromacie nijaki.

Estebanik (1280) - Lublin, POLAND - OCT 19, 2017
Piana wysoka, opada z głośnym sykiem i pękającymi bąbelkami. Mimo tych deficytów, zaskakująco długo walczy z grawitacją. Aromat nikły - trochę ciemnego pieczywa i to by było na tyle. W smaku dochodzi do tego dosłownie ślad kawy, wysokie wysycenie, pustka. Nuda, nawet jak na tmave.

Cerbier (849) - - OCT 10, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 10, 2017 0,5l Flasche. Dunkles Bier mit relativ kleiner Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Röstmalze, schmeckt süßlich nach Karamel und Malz.

Bottle, 500mL. 3.8%. Purchase ("La maison russe", @Saumur, FR). Home. A sparkling dark brown beer with a medium beige foamy head ; good retention ; ok lacing. Caramel, roast, coffee and licorice notes. Medium sweet, light dry refreshing, bitter note. Medium body, light oily texture, average carbonation, sweet roast finish. Overall, good ! Roasty sugary, but I enjoyed it :)

Barwa ciemna, klarowne. Piana beżowa, niezbyt obfita, drobno i średniopęchrzykowa. W aromacie skórka od chleba, palone słody, karmel. W smaku słodkie, goryczka bardzo niska. Mało ciała, wodniste, pijalne. Nasycenie wysokie.

500mml bottle. Tasted on the 06/10/2017 at home. Deep brown colour with a thick white head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malts and bread. Taste is almost the same with a strong caramel presence and a bit of honey in the finish. Next one please!
