UPDATED: FEB 26, 2009 From tap: a little roasty, pretty sweet, nice maltyness, mainly caramel, some wet wood, some rye(?), dry finish, pretty stale and weak tasting, not impressive. jarspag (601) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUL 27, 2007
Not much of a selection on a Czech train ride. Ah well, at least it’s beer. And I’m also really glad its "foam" is dark, too. fugitive (1993) - Athens, GREECE - JUN 6, 2010

Bottle 50 cl, Koskikapakki, Rovaniemi. Pours clear dark brown with a good tanned head leaving some lacing. Acidy, slight smokey, fruity and roasted. Low carbonation. Finishes watery, bitter malty and roasted. northropfrye (3512) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - AUG 7, 2011
Bottle in Moscow I believe. Dark and malty. Kind of sweet. Not bad overall. Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - SEP 11, 2011
Medium airy (light) beige head on top of a ruby colored beer.
Smell honey, sweets, molasses, sticky malts (lightly toasted), and a hint of oatmeal.
Taste is a mix of some light sweets like molasses & toasted sticky malts with a medium bitterness, some dark fruits and some herbs.
Taste is much like the smell
Light bitter and lightly sweet from dark fruits (raisin and prunes) aftertaste.
Low carbo, low to medium body, soft light creamy mouthfeel and a light creamy texture. KoNrRiI (1489) - Århus, DENMARK - DEC 9, 2011
0.5 bottle. Pleasant aroma of dark roasted malts, a lot of coffee and some nuts as well. Pours a black liquid with scarlet tone, clear topped with a big creamy head. Sweet taste, rather soft although not to a fault. Medium body and what came as a surprise smooth, watery texture which impairs the typical warm sensation of a dark beer. Carbonation between average and soft inclining towards the latter. Definitely short finish. All in all it is a nice beer but nothing outstanding for its own kind, pretty shame it is spoiled with an excess of water. Linnet (1813) - Karlstad, SWEDEN - JAN 5, 2012
