I used to drink a lot of this, mainly because most beers in Hungary are pretty poor, even the light lagers. This one seemed less offensive than most and not too expensive. Now revisiting it years later, it doesn’t hold up the same. Pours very clear and light, straw to golden color. Nutty, grainy aroma, some hops in the nose, but not much. Watery flavor and body, mostly dry. Very little malt flavor, but finishes sharp and hoppy. Almost soapy in flavor. Goes down fine enough, but it isn’t interesting by any means. Again, at least it isn’t offensive like many beers you find on the shelf here.

All-round average. Absolutely nothing interesting in it, solid representative of euro-beers offering you only way to kill thirst. That’s it.

Can from supermarket in Budapest. Pours golden brown. Had no idea what this was when I bought it but turns out to be an easy to drink lager pale ale hybrid.

Kozel Na Doma - 2 liters PET-flaska köpt för 12 spänn i Tjeckien. Klassisk tjeckisk pilsner av kanske inte den högsta kvalitén.

Review written before I made ratebeer account. With usual Czech lagers I can think of bad, medium and good ones. This one is medium, and since even the bad ones are usually ok to drink...

Cybuch (391) - Muszyna, POLAND - NOV 8, 2016
Aromat typowo czeski, przyjemny, mało intensywny. Barwa jasnozłota, idealnie klarowne, piana drobna, dosyć szybko opadająca. W smaku lekkie, ale nie wodniste, ma trochę słodyczy w sobie. Goryczki brak, finisz lekko kwaskowaty, wysokie wysycenie. Dobry, lekki czeski lager.

Tap at Swan Inn, Farnborough. 20/07/16. Feint aroma - organic but can’t quite make it out. Amber, bubbly. Frothy white head. Sweet with a hint of bitterness. Light and forthy. Nice enough but could be a flavoured carbonated water.

BOTTLE 50 CL by Efes Moldova at 3.5% abv. Clear golden, white head. White bread and dough, just a bit fruity nose. Not much hops. Generic pale malts, very light sweetness, light somewhat harsh grassy bitterness. Not much Czech character, but not a bad lager overall.

23.10.2016. 0,5l Can. Yellow colour with white head. Clear. Aroma is light with floral hops. Dry mouthfeel. Watery but with good flavours and aromas. Aftertaste is short and dry. Pretty good for being so thin...
