gunnar (9211) - Sandnes, NORWAY - OCT 12, 2014
On tap at Pinta, Prague. Pours clear dark golden with a big creamy light tanned head.Sweet malty and red fruity aroma. Taste is very light roast, more sweet fruity with a decent lingering finish.

ElDesmadre (3627) - Mikołów, POLAND - AUG 12, 2013
1,5l plastic bottle. Bread, caramel, toffee and butter in the nose. The taste fails to deliver - it’s a bit empty, bready-caramelly with a light roasted finish that boasts a formidable bitterness. Ok.

(Rating #4882)

On tap at the Valassky Pivovar Kozlovice. Pretty dark red copper pour with tan head. Aroma is on the sweet cherry side of these tmaves, probably those that get closest to a dunkel. Vanilla and cherry notes are plentiful with every sip, a light roasty character balances everything out. A well designed and balanced tmave.

MartinT (9932) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 10, 2013
My Bottom Line:
Within this silky Tmavé thrives vanilla-like spicy sweetness and plum juice fruitiness for a compelling example of the style.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the dark brown with reddish highlights.
-Roasted malt notes are understated.
-This is a tad sweet, but still beautifully drinkable.
-The flavor profile is as polished as can be.
-The high quality of their beers and the intense Old World-feel at their pub make Kozlovice a must-visit when in Moravia.

On tap at the brewpub and at Mestsky Pivovar Stramberk.

motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - OCT 29, 2012

vickey9 (999) - Brussels, BELGIUM - JUL 28, 2011
Hazy dark unfiltred beer. A proper creamy head. Rosted malt aroma, a little bit watery consistency. Decafinnated coffee with undefined pharmacy herbs on palate. Unexpectedly short cicory aftertaste.

gnoff (10711) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - JUN 25, 2011
Draught at Pivovarsky Klub, on June 5, 2011
As "Kozlovjan Polotmavy Nakoreny Special".
Hazy dark brown color, lasting off-white head. Sweet, fresh, fruity scent, also berries. Berries, roasted taste. Coffee aftertaste. Moussy mouthfeel, high dry bitterness.
