Bottle at home. High fluffy long lasting light brown head. Not entirely black body, but almost, it is in face just very dark ruby. When I poured it my table was flooded. Mild and relatively sweet roasted malt coffee liquorice aroma. In the flavor the liquorice is more dominant than the coffee and the hops bitterness is very well balanced. Low carbonation. Long sweet finish. Nice surprise as the alcohol level is also very well hidden by the sweetness of the beer.

The aroma is full of coffee, chocolate, roast and nuts. The color is pitch black. The taste is full of coffee and chocolate. The head is minimum and brown. A really nice beer. Oelbas (274) - DENMARK - FEB 28, 2014

(50 cl bottle from Piaf Silkeborg; Bbd: March 8th 2015) Pours black with little, tan head that recedes quickly leaving lace. Aroma is lightly roasted malt and English hops with notes of nuts, bread, syrup and tea. Watery texture, soft carbonation, medium body and a lightly roasted finish. Flavour largely follows the nose. Not terribly interesting.
