bottle from Edeka Heilbronn. Clear pale greenish yellow with a decent white head and a good hoppy nose. Light and elegant malty base, quite crips, with good grassy hops. Decent beer, but I don’t get the connection between Wallerstein and the Kraichgau region. bartlebier (3982) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - JUL 26, 2013
50cl fliptop, cooled at Getränkemarkt in Kirchardt im Kraichgau. - Kraichgauer Landpils is brewed well 150km east in Wallerstein and could just as well be a Bavarian Kellerbier: sweet sedated malts overpowering decent natural hop bitterness, medium rich mf and a shortish grassy finish. Unattenuated yeast profile for a Pilsner, anchoring this firmy in the sweetish SW Pils palate. (a clear contrast to the clear Norther Pilsners sampled hours before in Lower Saxony). kevnic2008 (12000) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - FEB 28, 2012
Clear golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma and taste of malts, caramel nad hpos. Light bitter finish.

Part of the first German beer tasting in Idar-Oberstein (day two). 550 ml bottle, pours a gold pils color with a short white head. Has a sweet aroma for a pils. Seems to have the normal Pils taste, but sweet for the type. Palate ends dry. shrubber85 (11408) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - APR 24, 2011
Bottle at First German Ratebeer gathering (day 2) at Idar Oberstein courtesy of Bierkrug. Sour milk malt and hay aroma. Golden yellow color with moderate head. Sweet creamy barley malt and moderately bitter grass flavor. Basic but nicely drinkable beer. Travlr (24869) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - APR 24, 2011
Bottle courtesy of Bierkrug, shared with shrubber85 - thank you gentlemen! Bright clear yellow with hi carbonation, small white head with moderate retention. Aroma of straw and subtle white pepper. Taste is malty with a bitter edge. OK.
