UPDATED: OCT 28, 2009 Hard to get hold of and disappears very quickly. only really worth having on tap, where it normally displays a massive and lasting splotchy head, peachy saaz aroma and loads of bitterness

Finally, the moment has arrived when I get to taste Mr. Pogo's favourite beer. And it's a good un, although nothing from outer space. Combines the big, soft, almost sweet floralness of Budvar with the fat maltiness and bitter bite of Urquell - which is a good combination. If the rich gold colour with a touch of green, or the head that forms faces and other strange lumpy shapes aren't enough to get this one 5 for appearance, there's the label with the huge gnarled and hairy old testament dude on the label holding a foaming mug of the stuff and glaring out at the mountains.

Quite good. One of the best looking labels and a very nice and unique artistic cap on the bottle. Initial aroma is very hoppy. There is also malt, spices and some light fruit. A great looking pilsner. Lots of bubbles. A large white head that lasted a long time and never completely fades, leaving a thin layer of foam on the beer and lacing on the glass. Complex flavors. The hops are more bitter than floral and the fruit qualities are minimal. There is a lightly sweet malt base under those hops. Just a hint of soap but it doesn’t detract from the beer. This one becomes more flavorful as it warms. Great body for the style. Very easy to drink, even for having more alcohol than many of the style. Best-by date of 6/4/06.

20l soudek jsme včera dali skoro celý ve 2 lidech, pověsti o projímadle od Krkonoš se bohužel potvrdily :( Nicméně pivko je to dobré..

Tap at RJ. Clear golden colour, stable white head. Aroma mostly malty, honeyish, touch of hops. Taste is balanced. Malt has upper hand, honeyish. Hops comes forward towards finish, herbal and simple. Overall very clean beer, easily drinkable, refreshing. Finish dry and hoppy. Really good.

Bottled at RBESG. Clear golden, small head. Hay aroma. Medium sweet with solid body. Grassy and fresh with some orange and hay. Long mild bitterness. Very good, edgeless pilsener.
