From old tasting notes. Bright, brassy gold color. Big bubbly white head. Sweet, cidery malt aroma. Clean, sweet fruity malt flavor upfront. Pleasant soft hoppy finish. Well balanced.

Pours yellow with a white head. Floral, grass, light hop and cracker aroma and flavors. Light body and average carbonation. Floral and grass finish.

Bottle from Bevmo. Refrigerated, but couldn’t find a best by date. It pours a clear, rich golden color with a large, lasting white head. Looks nice. The aroma has a good balance of lightly toasted pale malts and spicy, earthy hops. A very light hint of sulfury skunk, but not too distracting. The flavor is a bit dusty with some hints of metal, spicy hops and some lightly toasted malts with a hint of caramel. Good balance, but the malt character seems off to me. Maybe it’s an old bottle. Hint of apple in the finish as well. Overall, not bad but not one of my favorite Czech Pilsners.

Pretty bland and watery pils with low alcohol but it is easy drinking and what you would expect.

A good Cezch pilsner. Pours a nice light golden with a slight head with good malty flavors not bitter

Barreras (1687) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - FEB 14, 2015
Pours a light yellow with a slight orange hue. Aroma is of sweet malt. Taste is a mixture of sweet malt and corn typical of european beers. Nothing special here, enjoyable super cold on a warm day.

nose: drying summer grass, vanilla, not much else. a note of rain. palate: quite malty but it’s a lager after all so very cold it just about balances out. anything more than 50F yuck. it’s simple upfront but then the substantial carbonation and hops come back and take over the show. mouthfeel is rather creamy. i’d say most of the enjoyment of this is after you swallow. the finish just hangs around with nuances of noble hop, grass, celery, white pepper, even starchy root veggies like potatoes and daikon. i likes very much

Overly sweet malt in the aroma and taste, reminds me of a saltine cracker. Hops hiding in the background. Nice looking beer with full head, but its overall cereal character reminds me of a pale lager. I think this may actually be a lager (per the label) and not a pilsener.

16.9oz bottle 10/17/13 (Binny’s Naperville)-46° in Mug-Pours a clear medium golden with a small white head. Aroma of hops, sweetness, and grass. Taste of the same with a bit more sweetness. This light bodied brew is not bad and goes down fairly smooth.

Bottle. The look is clear, golden in color, and has a light white head. The smell is corn, grainy, cereal, malts, and floral. The taste is similar to the smell. Sort of basic.
