Cellars Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN have two cases of this beer. Sampled with badgerben from 500 ml bottle. Pours a clear golden amber brew with a creamy off-white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film. Aroma of some light bread, fruit and a touch of sour milk and cheese curds. taste is syrupy sweet, some corn adjunct, and fruity yeast. Finish has a alcohol and sugar sweet that is common to Russian beers. I don’t know if the brewery wanted this to be classified as a malt liquor but it does has the characteristics of being one. ontario102 (794) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 12, 2007
Wow, this is horrible................... shrubber85 (11408) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - AUG 31, 2007
Bottle. Malt and strong fusel/rubbing alcohol aroma. Clear amber with small head. Sour barley malt and strong fusel alcohol flavor - alcohol aroma and taste get worse as it warms. Whew - should have saved some money and bought some Colt 45 - true to the style. Ratman197 (14838) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - AUG 21, 2007
500 ml bottle poured a clear gold with a small lingering white head. Aromas of corn, sugar, light bread and a bit of fruitiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a bit of syrupyness. Flavors of corn, bread, light fruitiness and a hint of yeast with a crisp lingering sweet finish. Suttree (6392) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 24, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 25, 2007 Wow, this is, uh, interesting. And by "Interesting", I mean "bad". Oddly sweet aroma, with notes of Sprite or 7up. Flvors starts off OK, with a fruity note and touch of yeasty flavors. For just a second, you think "Wow, this kind of reminds me a Belgian Triple" then this nasty finish - imagine chewing on a mouthful of aspirin or something. Y’know, I’ve noticed this aspirin flavor in a lot of eastern European lagers - is it the hops? Some sort of infection? Propaganda? Oh and another thing - this bottle had a surprisingly large number of floaties, too.

Too sweet too skunky too malty....to quote Borat.....not so much! TERRIBLE! strangaj (250) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JUL 13, 2007
Ah! of course this beer says that its a pale beer, but malt liquor has this one begged right on the nose. Smells like stank and has that skunk maltiness to it. No thanks for the taste, but it will sure as hell get you crunk! Tmoney99 (14490) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 10, 2007
Bottle from Belmont Party. Poured clear pale color with a moderate frothy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Medium sweet grassy aroma. Medium body with lively carbonation. Heavy sweet flavor with a moderate sweet finish of short duration. Cold wet alcohol and adjuncts with sweet character. ehhdayton (1188) - USA - JUN 5, 2007
Pours a pale golden with a white head. Aroma has some hops and grain. Flavor is mild and sweet with a graininess. OhioDad (2492) - Hilliard, Ohio, USA - MAY 21, 2007
Pours pale golden with a short white fizzy head. Aromas of grassy hops over grain and alcohol. Flavor is quite the same. Maybe a touch of frosted flakes in this one too though. Sweet and sticky on the palate and actually somwhat cloying. Pretty carbonated too. Not too good but what do you expect for a russian malt liquor.
