Ceramic mug. The aroma is earthy, hoppy. Richly hopped, dry, woody character with a subtle malt and mineral base. Very dry, very tasty. One of the hoppiest Franconian country lagers. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 20, 2009
Draft from brewery in Krug. Golden color with lasting white cap. Aroma is intensely herbal but subdued and all about the hops. The palate is soft, juicy, and silky. Very well-hopped brew goes down really well and tastes very fresh. Gets better by the sip. MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 23, 2006

-A dancing, classy, grassy, herbal hops flavor and bitterness soothes the soul.
-A clean and drinkable body enhances the sunny experience.
-Bread, cereal sweetness, and herbal hop all invite further gulps.
-A veil of foam almost shields the unfiltered dark gold.
-Cereal freshness, and even caramel, drop the curtain.
On tap at the brewery.
Bottle. Thin lasting snowy white head over crystal clear, pale yellow/golden body. Pleasant aromas of floral and grassy hops, fresh bread and cookies, with an alluring sweetness in the background. Moderately sweet grain/malt flavors with a refreshing sour/acidic aftertaste. Proper hopbitterness. Good body. Nice bitter/acdic finish. What a tasty lager! raymondwave (931) - FINLAND - APR 30, 2009
Bottle 0,5 l. Golden lager looks, almost completely fading head. Nose is incredibly malty, full and drool-inducing. Some barnyard in there too, and haystack. Flavor is big and malty. Perfect combination of bitterness, sweetness and malts. A real beer.

gravity cask @ redlight redlight. Sweet yeasty bread notes on the aroma with hints of grass. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a thick fluffy white head. Refreshing malt notes with a slight sweetness upfront with an underlining earthy bitterness with traces of fresh cut grass and yeasty bread in the finish. Very refreshing and drinkable! Excellent! ippopotamo36 (2383) - Rome, ITALY - JUN 1, 2015
At the source in Kraus brewery in Germany with Boban. Gde si cika Boban? Pours golden color, tick white cap. Nose: pilsner malts, hay. Mouth: bread, a frizzy grassy final note. Not bad as a lager.

500 ml bottle, many thanks to Gr0ve who supplied it to me from SmartClub Norway. Golden colour, moderate head. Moderate carbonation, good mouthfeel. Pleasant malty sweet aroma with strong notes of butterscotch and honey. Flavour has also butterscotch notes, but also a decent hoppy bitterness well balanced with the malts. Very drinkable. larsga (7542) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 27, 2006
Offwhite creamy head over deep golden body. Deep earthy sweetish aroma of malts with floral hop notes and a touch of peas. Taste is deep sweetish malts with strong resiny floral hops with earthy, smoky notes and a bitter, slightly chalky aftertaste. Clean and refreshing. A very good lager.
