TorbenJensen (1517) - Valby, DENMARK - SEP 11, 2015
This brew is probably closest to an Altbier type. It is brewed in accordance with the Bavarian reinheitsgebot (Law of Purity) and has nice reddish brown color with durable foam on top. It has a splendid malt aroma and is strong and sets expectations for a good Altbier. But then the picture changes ...... It is unusual, not to say almost sickening sweet, and in a synthetic malty background that leaves no room for anticipated fruity tones. Finally, it has nevertheless suffered hop bitterness and had it not been the case it was hardly worth drinking. KnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 13, 2015
Lovely malt character, caramel, grain, discreet use of hops to balance it. Elegant, nice Altbier finish with nuts and a hint of bitterness. A beer does not need to be hop-driven to be good. Milter (905) - Nyborg, DENMARK - FEB 5, 2015
UPDATED: NOV 7, 2015 Påskebryg fra Krenkerup - så er vinteren snart forbi. Bedste danske altbier efter min smag

Clear, dark amber. Malty, grassy aroma. Flavour has strong malt character with caramely sweetness. Discrete bitterness is finish.

Sweet and malty aroma with lot’s of caramel and dried fruits. Verty malty and caramelish taste as well and with a light bitterness in the end. In my book this is not a real easter brew since it is made on top fermentation but more like a brown ale or an altbier if you like. When that is said this is a very fine brown ale though, and with it’s nice bouquet of caramel and some floral notes this is much much better than most Danish brown ales. Flaske 0,5 liter.
Not much aroma. Taste is malty and dry, with notes of sweet caramel.
Soft carbonation. LasseVPedersen (412) - Aarhus C, DENMARK - MAR 30, 2014
Bottle, 50cl. Pours hazy brown with a red hue to it; one-finger stable and creamy beige head. Aroma is malty dominated, sweet, raisin, sugar and caramel-ish. Flavour is more balanced sweet which leaves room for nutty, spice and fruity taste as well. Fine hobby notes in the slight dry finish. Medium body. Soft carbonation.
