500 ml bottle. BB 29/08/13. From landbierparadies.com. Cloudy brown colour with a big fluffy off-white head. Mild honey-like sweetness and malt in the aroma. The flavour is mild bitterness, honey sweetness, malt and some earthiness. The sweetness is a bit unpleasant. Some grassy bitterness in the aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Kreuzberg Keller, Hallerndorf. Dark gold, clear white head. Some malt on aroma, some fresh hop. Very drinkable in mouth, good hoppiness on finish. A little light and simple, but thirst quenching and hop on finish is good.

Draft. Poured into a ceramic mug with a slightly off white head. Pale and clean malts, very light floral notes, low/medium sweetness, and a hint of graininess. Clean malty fresh finish. Good stuff.

ganache (5905) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 2, 2012
Swing-top by 01.02.13. Sweet pale malt nose with dusty cellar notes, an excitable hazy light orange pour with a short white head. Sharp, crisp attack, medium body with a huge bready component, otherwise light tang and orange rind in with lightly caramelized malt. Faint grassy an cellar notes survive, and a really nice minty/herbal tone. Not a huge score on this one, but this brewer definitely knows what he’s doing.

Ernest (7696) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 25, 2011
Rated at Klosterbrau Nov 2011. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain, husks), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs), with notes of alcohol and passionfruit. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately bitter, slightly husky. Medium to full body, watery texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Rough, mediocre.

TAR (2765) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - DEC 13, 2011
Bottle, Purchased at Landbierparadies in Nurnberg, Best Before 4/5/12, consumed in early November: Yellowed rufous. Creamy ivory ring of head. Dull and unfocused nose of gummy candy, stewed peach and spent grains. Prickly carbonation. Dull, yeasty and considerably sharp with alcohol. Some faint fusels coincide with notes of medicine and slippery fruitiness. Very earthy and woody hop character, and at times leafy and tealike with the faintest accent of honeysuckle. A sweet and deeply toasty Munich quality exudes, but soon enough it’s lost within the terribly underattenuated syrupy body. A late yet timid development of melanoidins creeps in at the sweet and oddly fruity finish alongside an unrefined leafy, earthy hop punctuation. One of the messier landbiers I have yet encountered...curiously muddled, worty, disjointed and intensely sweet. Drainpour.
