Bottled (from landbierparadies.com). Slightly hazy amber colour with a mediumsized off-white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is bread, some grains, mild acidic wooden notes as well as some slight toffeeish notes. Flavour is caramel malts, some quite hoppy bitterness and mild wooden notes as well.

Koelschtrinker (20398) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 25, 2011

Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 19, 2011
It’s unclear, dark orange with a huge, creamy and lasting head. The aroma has notes of fruit and malt. The flavour has a light sweetness and a refreshing bitterness, and notes of flower, fruit, malt, and the finish is dry with a hoppy, citrussy bitterness, that is unusual in a Zwickl.

2.4
Grima (2394) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - DEC 18, 2010
330ml bottle The beer in glass is copper-colored with pompous crown, which is very fine and therefore durable. The smell is something strangely sour hoppy, with a slightly musty note in the background. The Zwickel starts extremely sour and malty bitter. With further sips the sourish aroma gets very slightly, but it still remains very difficult drinkable.Die sparkling fresh, fruity citrus flavors cannot prevail against the strong sourish aromas.
