UPDATED: SEP 28, 2016 Tap. Clear brown color with red highlight. Aroma is rusty nails, chocolate. Taste is brown malts, chocolate, earthy-nutty, a bit metallic finish. Soft mouthfeel. Feels a bit too light and too sweet, but it?s drinkable. However, it?s not really refined and a bit unfocused.

Langweilig. 12/7/7/6/7/7

bartlebier (3982) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - DEC 29, 2015
Tap flight in Arminiusmarkthalle Berlin XII2015. - Watery thin brown translucent pour. Smells like sweet peas in Vitamalz, soggy rye bread, soy. Sesame oil joining Schwarzbrot, hopjes and uncentered roast in taste. Manages to be both watery in palate and sickly sweet in flavour. All over the place, nearest in style to DDR Schwarzbier?

On tap in the Markthalle. Brown beer, clear, called a schwarzbier. Some caramel malt which is just a touch too sweet. Finishes a bit dry, which is somewhat surprising.
