Bottle. A handsome beer - dark mahogany with a generous beige head. Roasted malt aroma. Flavour is roast, coffee with a dry finish. Prickly mouthfeel and a little thin.

Looks alright, pours a root beer color, ivory colored head. Aroma is heavy in earth, tea, tobacco. Head a flat feel to it. Sweet earth flavor, tea leaves, boring malt....flashes of dark spice. Meh.

Delicate aroma of malts and caramel. Large, rocky, off-white head with nice lacing. Clear dark brown colour. Sweet malty and caramel taste with just a bit of roasted bitterness. Too watery and too sweet, but at least drinkable.

PREZENTACJA: czarne, średnio obfita piana szybko opada do atolu, nie oblepia szkła;
AROMAT: ciemne pieczywo, drożdże, lekka pilsowa szmata;
ODCZUCIE: ciało średnie, wysoko nasycone, ale gładkie, krągłe;
SMAK: za aromatem i lekka ziołowa goryczka;
OGÓLNIE: ciemny chleb w formie piwa, brakuje mi tu czekolady i trochę wyraźniejszego chmielu.

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2017 Draft at Bru Craft. Opaque very dark brown/black pour with only a tiny ring. Moderately dark roasty malts. Molasses. Pumpernickel. Black liquorice. Celery. Peat. Very clean. Feels absence of flavor though.

Pours dark brown colour with a small and ecru head. Light malty aroma, metallic and grassy notes. Then some caramel and toffee. Pleasant. Taste is dry with a medium, grassy bitterness. Roasted and caramel notes. Refreshing, but quite watery. Highly carbonated, medium body. Okay.

Simoonthph (95) - Czechowice-Dziedzice, POLAND - MAY 13, 2017
Piwo barwy ciemno brązowej niemal czarne, nieprzejrzyste.

At first nice chocolate and roasty smels. After a while some defects occured (moldy hay). Taste: lightly sour, light sweetness. Palete: light body, thin feel, lively. alc. 4.7% vol. Poland, bottle.

Tried at the grapevine Exmouth. Almost black colour with an off white head. Aroma has dark malts treacle and s touch of smoke. Taste light smoke to bitter chocolaty malt. Rich full body.

hawthorne00 (3900) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - APR 16, 2017
Bottle. Dark brown with an inch of beige head. Malty, mildly treacly aroma with a little roast and licorice. Not too thin for under 4.5%, lowish carbonation. Roasted flavours are more prominent in than expected and a bit dull really. Bitterness is low and there’s a touch of metal as well as light spices at the end. OK.

hohops (983) - Kent, ENGLAND - APR 8, 2017
Appearance is almost black, opaque, a small fizzy head. Aroma- dark malt, hops, treacle, trace of smoke. Taste- smoky malt, chocolate, fluffy fizzy mouthfeel, hop bitterness, smooth chocolatey finish. Nice.
