Even more nasty, but at least it was drinkable and has a nice foam. I had them both a little warm, but thats not a valid excuse at all.

500ml bottle @ Pizza Hut in Berlin. Cloudy amber brown with massive foamy head. Banana wheat aroma & flavour. Spicy aftertaste but watery and insipid, lacking bite. OK for an alcohol free beer.

33cl bottle, small sample. The aroma has banana, citrus, some grain. Hazy, yellow-orange coloured beer with a firm, white head. The taste is quite sweet, citric, has some banana, just a little artificial. Yhough overall pretty nice for an alkoholfrei beer.

I figured this would be some strange stuff and it is. It looks more or less like a run of the mill hefezen, cloudy w/ a big head of medium bubbles. It sort of smells the part too w/ a mild banana note in the nose. Whatever process they used to get the alcohol out of this though seems to have done some weird business w/ the phenols in this. Where you would normally expect cloves and bananas, you get an almost smokey character out of this. It is not chemical tasting or anything, just a bit odd.The texture is at least pretty close to the highly carbonated creamy texture appropriate to the style so points for that. I cant say this is terrible but other than the curiousity of drinking an acohol-free weizen, there is no real reason to try this.

Bottle. Most alcohol free beers are awful. This one wasnt bad. Hazy, gold color. Nice head. Aroma was banana, a little spice. Taste was sweet, banana, spice.

Shared 11.2 oz. bottles poured to snifters, and sampled after the standard Weizen, showing the same, cloudy, orangey/gold appearance, with modest, off white head foam, and spotty lacing. The nose was lightly dank, a hint of vegetable, and more greenery & grass than fruitiness, with some subtle banana & clove. Soft textured, with fair spritz to the effervescence, and flavor that was rather thin & watery. Non offensive, but I think Ill pass if it is offered again.
