Bottle. Twenty years or so ago, this beer was heavily marketed in the U.S. At least around New York City anyway. Pours a yellow/gold with a fizzy white head. Light aroma of sweetgrass and caramel. The flavor is a bit malty with a bit of hops bitterness. Really pretty average stuff. Dorqui (2261) - Brescia, ITALY - NOV 26, 2006

Compact and vanishing head, fair resistance. Yellow pale color, limpid and with light fizz. Ordinary and slightly metallic scent; herbaceous and of cereals water notes. Little stinging taste, watery and lightly vanishing. Inconsistent bitter and alcohol. raymondwave (931) - FINLAND - NOV 24, 2006
Easy thirst quencher, not that different from 1664. Propably the most common lager in France? Had a few of these this summer in Paris. jehoey (765) - Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 11, 2006
perfumy smelling; bad taste; amberish color; watery palate; shitte. not worth trying. I only drank it because it was free at a party. that’s how cheap it is mansquito (6887) - Nueva York, New York, USA - OCT 30, 2006
Can on the streets of France and tap in London bars. This beer is pretty much rubbish. It has a nasty, skunky smell to it and a light tasteless body. I don’t understand how this rates higher than the 5th percentile. I avoid it at all costs. Call it Kro though for short.

Golden amber with white bubbly head when poured from a bottle. Sweet grassy aroma. Sour rich malt flavor. strings (377) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - OCT 8, 2006
Bottle in France. Not too shabby, better than the standard 1664 brew I think. Refreshing on a hot day at least. ruibittencourt (16) - Curitiba, BRAZIL - SEP 11, 2006
Nice colour and head.
Very light bodied, it’s a beer that not convences me, but, ok... not too good, not too bad. D (577) - Gdynia, POLAND - AUG 27, 2006
Decent French lager. Nice look, with big, foamy and surprisingly lasting head. Slight hoppy aroma, little flavour until the hoppy end that has some weird corn-like notes. Good summer beer. messymatt (36) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 15, 2006
I sat down in a French cafe and they wanted to charge me 10 euros for a pint, I had a glass of wine instead.
