veru nice beer, laready had a few of these and aging helps. with time it has more balance. i think ill keeps some more for 6 more months and a year.. Its a nice brown ale, some hints of sweet red wine, a little bit of oak. medium body. once served it takes a bit to get tasty. i think its better served very cold and wait a few minutes with the glass on your hands

[ Trade by Papsoe ]. Clear medium to dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, bread, roasted, caramel. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, oxidide, dark malt, dried fruit, bread. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 
Bottle @ Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013. The pour’s reddish brown with a small head. Marzipan and cherry dessert on the nose. Some sweet brown bread. Brown sugar. The taste is fairly sedate compared to the nose. Toasted hops. Rich caramel maltiness. Somewhat creamy. Medium body, fine carbonation. OK. Medium sweet flavor with light, bready malts, some more caramel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet to finish with light earthy bitterness and semi-dry caramel. ChrisO’s Pre GBBF ’Are You Scottish?’ tasting. Almost clear brown beer, little pale tan head. Papery medium malt, lactose, light dried fruits. Light dry finish. Meh!

Nose is bready malts, dark toffee, light roasted tones, fruit.
Taste comprises toffee, bready malts, brown sugar, dark fruit.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, dry finish with a little bitterness.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013. It pours deep brown with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is wood, brown bread, varnish, raisin, plum, date and cake. The taste is juicy date, raisin, plum, light tartness, earth, wood, leather, toffee and decent bitterness with a dry finish. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation. OK depth.
