BlackHaddock (7312) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - FEB 11, 2014
500ml Bottle: labelled as Weihnachtsbier. Drank on 22nd Jan 2014 in Weiss-Blau, Charlottenburg Berlin. Pours a deep reddy brown with a beige foaming head. Malty nose and taste, but more complicated than that. The malts seemed full but distant in their character, meaning light but ever present. Spicy notes and semi-sweet caramel hints gave the beer an extra dimension and a Christmassy feel. Medium bodied and very easy to drink, the alcohol level sat nicely within the flavours and suited the beer well: it didn’t need to be a super charged brew with the depth of flavours it carried.

Idiosynkrasie (7508) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - DEC 21, 2013
500ml bottle. Clear reddish dark brown colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Dark malty aroma, malt-spicy, a very cautious smoky touch. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty with a nuttily touch, malt-spicy, cautious hints of roast.

mile (3941) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 17, 2013
Bottle. Amber, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, light caramel and some roasted malt. Body is medium to full, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, light caramel and roasted malt with faint alcohol. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, light caramel and some roasted malt, light hoppyness and light alcohol. OK dunkel - not too sweet/light bitterness in the finish.

3fourths (9341) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 4, 2013
A semi-dark Weihnachtsfestbier (not Oktoberfest or Märzen) with a toasted bread crust, roast and cola core and a nutmeg / spice quality that seems, and is, entirely malt-derived. Medium body, sweet, a bit crude and raw with a residual yeast / chalk powder / plastic note that affects the otherwise straightforward nut, bread, toast, dark malt character. Frothy and creamy high carbonation, medium bitterness.

Erzengel (8695) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - NOV 28, 2013
Dark brown in the glass with beige head. The beer starts malty-balanced, not sweet. The mainly dry mainpart is nicely malted, slightly bitter. Highly drinkable. The aftertaste is medium, a bit more sweet.
--> Nice Festbier, but could be a bit deeper in aroma.

Ernest (7692) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 26, 2013
Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting. Body is medium brown. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted bread, roasted nuts, popcorn), with light notes of smoke and brown sugar. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, creamy/watery texture, soft carbonation. A little popcorny and forgettable, but ok.

SirRepsol (158) - Cologne, GERMANY - MAR 19, 2013
from bottle. pours a clear dark red colour with a white to beige frothy head. pleasent and full aroma of sweet and roasted malts with burned sugar and some buttersotch and nutty notes. light to medium mouthfeel, thin texture and average carbonation, dry aftertaste. the flavours one gets are mainly sweet and roasted malts and nuts. easy to drink märzen with a unique character.

Test vom 25.12.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,10,11,11,11,11 - 10,95
Earlier Rating: 12/2/2012 Total Score: 3.8
Unbedingt probieren! Test vom 12.11.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,9,12,11,10,11 - 10,90

Beerbarella (348) - - OCT 1, 2012
500ml bottle. Mild, but very spicy beer. Good, but a bit too bitter for my taste.

beeracoon (511) - - OCT 1, 2012
Brownish colour, mild caramel taste. Very pleasant soft finish. Highly recommended.
