Fantastically frothy and vivid in the mouth.

gunnar (9333) - Sandnes, NORWAY - MAR 21, 2012
Bottle from Fränkische Botschaft, Berlin. Pours clear dark amber with a small creamy light tanned head. Aroma is good malty, dark bread, caramel and grassy hops. Taste is also malty, full of hayish notes with a light roasty feel at the end, not bad at all.

Erzengel (9083) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - NOV 16, 2014

downender (8729) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 28, 2007
Bottle from Landbierparadies, Nurnberg. Brown with a moderate off-white head. Caramel malt aroma, caramel flavour and a bitter finish. an ok Franconian beer.

jonas (7753) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - DEC 7, 2003
Bottle Nice sourdough aroma (yeast and lactic acid), wood and bitterhops. Brown, low head and well-lagered low carbonation. Wooden flavors with a hint smoke, sweet malts, Nice hop finish. Mouthfeel is the lovely franconian dry keller-fizz, body could be a tad fuller. mmmhhhhh.

Ernest (7748) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 9, 2013
Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white to light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is clear light brown. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (popcorn, caramel, cereal), lightly hoppy (herbs), with a light note of sulfur. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly husky. Light to medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation. A very husky, dirty beer.
