Harmony between taste and beauty - Dark beer is the traditional product of the Royal Brewery of Krušovice and for more than 100 years the production of this beer has not stopped. The beer has a full, sweet caramel taste and a light hop flavour. The high quality of the raw ingredients assures the excellent taste of the beer. There are several types of malt, natural spring water from the Křivoklát Wood and hops from the Žatec area.

MMJL (421) - Gliwice, POLAND - APR 4, 2017
Wodniste.

Zapach mało intensywny, słód, opiekany chleb, karmel. Kolor ciemnobrązowy, klarowne. Piana beżowa, obfita, średniopęcherzykowa, trwała, zdobi szkło. W smaku lekka słodycz, niska pełnia, słód, chleb, zioła, karmel, żelazo. Goryczka niska, wysycenie średnie.

I tasted it for the first time in Prague 2007 and then it was an amasing beer - full, dark, chocolaty but with nice bitterly salty after-taste. Since then though it seems that either my taste had evolved or the producer had started using different recipe and now it seems more ordinary and hollow than before. First sip is still cool every now and then, though

Bottle 50 cl. Almost black color, good creamy foam. Aroma: caramel, roasted malts, light smoked and burnt bread crust. Taste: sweet, burnt and caramel malt, slightly velvety.

Icedwarf (1620) - Etten-Leur, NETHERLANDS - MAR 17, 2017
Zwart bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht zoet met iets van chocolade, karamel en heel lichte rook. Is enigszins waterig.

Maits (429) - ESTONIA - MAR 13, 2017
Dark brown beer with beige head. Aroma is sweet caramel and malty. Taste is also sweet caramel, light bitter hops. Mild body. Good one.

Bottle. Dark Brown. Malty (roast malts; chocolate, caramel, hint of smoke). Slight hop bitterness. Sweet roast malty leading to a moderately bitter finish. Thin but quite nice. Drinkable. (2008)

Pallleon (328) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAR 1, 2017
Sötétbarna szín, bézs habbal. Pörkölt malátás, karamelles íz. Nem rossz sör, csak már azt sem tudom hol gyártják.

PintjeFritz (323) - Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - FEB 25, 2017
Black beer with beige short head, smell is industrial, taste is very light dark chocolate, very thin, watery, short finish, very normal, no special, (I have 0.5l bottle with best-before 07/2017 and batch L7011203A1807)

vsyrbu (68) - MOLDOVA - FEB 24, 2017
pretty light beige foam, but not stable. The aroma of something dusty and damp, like after the rain on a summer day and the dust has settled. In the taste wet bread, slightly roasted and very watery taste.
