Harmony between taste and beauty - Dark beer is the traditional product of the Royal Brewery of Krušovice and for more than 100 years the production of this beer has not stopped. The beer has a full, sweet caramel taste and a light hop flavour. The high quality of the raw ingredients assures the excellent taste of the beer. There are several types of malt, natural spring water from the Křivoklát Wood and hops from the Žatec area.

500ml can 3.8%. nice mellow toast on first sip. NO aftertaste with a slight exception of a toased malt. Much more body that a usual fake example of a Schwatrzbier. Very nice drinkable brew even from a can after sitting in a suitcase for 20 hours.

Zwart bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht zoet met iets van chocolade, karamel en heel lichte rook. Is enigszins waterig.

Bottle. Dark Brown. Malty (roast malts; chocolate, caramel, hint of smoke). Slight hop bitterness. Sweet roast malty leading to a moderately bitter finish. Thin but quite nice. Drinkable. (2008)

Sötétbarna szín, bézs habbal. Pörkölt malátás, karamelles íz. Nem rossz sör, csak már azt sem tudom hol gyártják.

pretty light beige foam, but not stable. The aroma of something dusty and damp, like after the rain on a summer day and the dust has settled. In the taste wet bread, slightly roasted and very watery taste.

Terrible beer. The smell is reminiscent of pondweed! Pours like a Coca-Cola with an airy head that soon vanishes. Tastes like a poor imitation of a darker lager. Shitty.
