500ml bottle. Woody, roasted coffee aroma. Dark in colour with an off white head that soon disappears. Sweet toffee flavour with some woody and nutty notes. Very malty finish.
Canned 50 cl. Almost black color, good creamy foam. Aroma: caramel, roasted malts, light smoked and burnt bread crust. Taste: sweet, burnt and caramel malt, slightly velvety. yoxik75 (83) - Wroclaw, POLAND - JUN 9, 2017
Calkiem przyzwoity lekki czeski ciemniak, ladnie pachnie ?wie?ym chmielem i ciemnymi s?odami. W smaku lekko troche pe?ni czekolady, szorstkosci od ciemnych slodow. Na upal idealnie. ianwelby (1367) - SCOTLAND - JUN 2, 2017
UPDATED: JUN 2, 2017 Is much like a bog standard lager other than the colour. Weak and watery, but a relatively crisp and refreshing and a bit malty. datrael (476) - Kraków, POLAND - MAY 30, 2017
W aromacie trochę kakao, ciemny chleb, skórka od chleba. W wyglądzie brąz wpadający w czerń, obrączka beżowej piany. W smaku ciemny chleb, słaba kawa, skórka chlebowa, zboża. Bottle as part of a birthday giftset of czech beers. Thnx! Pours very dark brown, small, bit creamy head. Smell is very maltforward some chocolate and roasty notes, some noble hops, gentle but very nice and rather intense. Taste is rather bitter, grainy, roasty, bit chocolate / coffee notes from the roast. Still nicely hopped, some noble hops, and a very nice yeasty flavor to it. Very different than other swarzbier’s i’ve had, mainly since this is czech style, probably. i do like it ! Very intense taste for the ABV as well. Decent MF and carbo. Dark brown with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have some dark malts and a touch of bittersweetness. Serapac (470) - CZECH REPUBLIC - APR 22, 2017
On tap, Red Baron, Tegel Airport Berlin. Dark brow, large beige head. Aroma malt, coffee, some chocolate. Bitter-sweet taste, finish mainly bitter. Rather lacking in body, but not surprising, given the low ABV. Drinkable. rougeau13 (2954) - Richmond, Texas, USA - APR 9, 2017
Bottle. Dark clear brown with a heavy lacing off-white head. Toasted caramel aroma and taste. Light-medium bodied. Ok.
